Although it was not a life or death concern, it indeed, made me self-conscious and I tried to hide it under make up since I can remember. Lucky for me Mary opened her clinic about a year ago where I had a free consultation with her and recommended me 3 sessions of Picosure Laser to remove the black spot. Instead of jus t having the treatment to vanish the spot I did my whole face to also get rid of brown sun spots and fine lines. To my astonishment after the first session my face looked like a porcelain doll's. The black spot on my nose also was lighter and after the last treatment it is virtually gone. I don't have to put make up on it anymore because you can not see it. I am forever glad to have found this clinic. I keep coming back for other treatments they offer. The prices are reasonable. I booked my first Brazilian sugar appointment through their online booking service in April 2019 at the RH location. Jasmyne was my aesthetician, she made me feel comfortable and walked me through the process of my service. I left not knowing what the results should look and feel like, but now that I've gotten a bunch of Brazilian sugars done (with another business), I can confirm that my experience with Sugar Me Spa was not great. I still had a lot of hair that hadn't been "pulled" out by the sugar, but I thought that's how Brazilian waxes were as it was my first time receiving one. It looked like I had shaved quickly and didn't bother to go over a second time to get all the remaining hairs. It didn't bother me as I trusted the process and was planning to book with Sugar Me Spa again once time came. Their online booking was extremely inaccurate in regards to the times and/or dates available for services. I booked my second appointment, only to be texted that the establishment was closed during the time slot I had chosen and I had reschedule. I wasn't able to reschedule, so I cancelled it instead. I booked another appointment 1 month later (with Jasmyne as I already dealt with her my first time around), through the same online system. I received another text a week before my appointment stating Jasmyne was not working during the date and time I had chosen. I was offered different dates and times to reschedule, however, time was too tight to reschedule. I asked if another aesthetician could provide the service, to no avail. I rescheduled my appointment 1 month later (with Jasmyne) in August 2019, only to be texted that Jasmyne couldn't make it to work and was asked to reschedule again... Overall, over a span of 4 months, I went once with mediocre results. Their appointment booking service is extremely hectic and inconsistent.

Truthfully, there are much worse things to be taunted by, but these pesky, unsightly things made for less than favourable hair styling conditions. But after collecting an array of approximately 15 of them of various sizes, and getting over the humour found in the game of 'whose cyst is the largest' amongst my family (I'm the reigning champion), and awkward conversations with hair stylists who had all seemed to have that curious, perplexed look on their face when they saw them - I decided enough was enough and 3 of these puppies were coming out. My doctor referred me to Dr. vanVliet - I was initially a bit uneasy since two of her RateMD reviews pegged her as being callous; but I wanted to make my own judgement calls and boy were those reviews wrong. Her office is extremely inviting with great music in the background, calm colours and nice decor. Her staff is comprised of individuals whose utmost commitment is to quality, customer service. From Lynda the patient co-ordinator at the front desk; to Franca the RN, who was so kind and patient with my anxiety while preparing me for the procedure. To the hero of the show - Dr. vanVliet. She is personable, very knowledgeable and straight forward. There is absolutely nothing callous about her whatsoever. In fact, upon learning that I was nervous, she dropped a bit of a 'fun fact' into my lap that had me chuckling, immediately cutting (pun intended) any lingering anxiety I had into smithereens. I appreciated the fact that she was committed to educating me both before and during the procedure. Not only that, both her and Franca kept the conversation flowing in a way that by the time I realized they were distracting me to my benefit, two out of the three cysts were already removed. I will 100% be back here to remove the remainder of my collection of cysts and will strongly recommend her and her team to any of my family members who are ready to make the plunge and remove those pesky cysts. I was there to get the same type of cyst removed from my scalp. After "freezing" the area, she begin cutting into my scalp. The freezing had not fully set in, and even though I mentioned this and was in obvious pain, she continued. All I could do it seems was endure the pain, although I'm sure it didn't hurt her a bit! It took all of 5 minutes and I was done. After a week, I had the stitches removed. A few days later, the pain in the massive scar she left (the size of a nickle) increased and there was inflammation and bleeding. I went to my family doctor and he pulled a piece of stitching from inside my scalp over an inch long. She could offer a refund (which she didn't) and perform another operation for free and I would never go back nor recommend her services!
