It is always…read moreclean and tidy and well presented with all the chilled food on display - such as chicken for the kebabs or burgers, looking fresh and appetising. The service is second to none - speedy without compromising the quality of the food - everything is always cooked well and I have never suffered a slightly dodgy tummy after eating here. There is a 50p charge if you pay for your food by debit or credit card but you get free garlic bread if you spend a tenner or more. You can place an order for delivery and I have never had to wait more than the stated time - usually I wait about 30 minutes but the maximum was 45 mins on a weekend. There is a good selection of food to choose from - kebabs, lots of burgers, various pizzas which you can change to your liking - and more. The prices are very reasonable and there are many offers around if you goo in person and collect. Staff here are friendly and easy to understand - my only fault with them is that they are quite heavy handed with the sauces so be sure to say just a little mayo etc when ordering. Well worth it

Access for wheelchair users is easy and the owner who has a great sense of humour and likes to chat to the customers which gives the place a great feel. I was offered help to make the table higher so my wheelchair could slide under to make eating more comfortable, touches like that make this cafe all the more inviting. The cafe does fill up quickly on sunny days so its worth noting that but there is an inside area too but sitting in the sun looking out across the park and to the priory on a sunny day is pure bliss. If you are in Chichester and are heading to the park its worth having a coffee and looking at the menu. Fenwicks are now on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings serving Meat, cheese and vegetarian platters from 5.30pm onwards, check them out. Also Fenwicks now do pizzas baked in their very own pizza oven, including an amazing breakfast Pizza! Check that out its delicious.

After a serene and inspirational visit to the wonderful Cathedral, on a drizzly weekday lunchtime,…read moreit was a welcome sight to find the recently restored Cloisters restaurant, adjacent to the Cathedral shop. There was a great choice of hot dishes (including a good range of filled baked potatoes with salad, a traditional roast with all-the-works and pan-fried 'catch-of-the-day' Mediterranean style). Also a decent serve-yourself salad bar, fresh home-made soup and a plethora of snacks (sweet and savoury). I opted for a colourful and well-cooked selection of roasted veg (might not sound exciting but they were delicious and perfectly hit the spot) at just £1.50, for a generous bowl. The atmosphere is cosy and attractive with plenty of light pouring-in (even on a relatively dull day) and a very pleasant outlook on the gardens and ancient stone walls. Staff were friendly, helpful and efficient (tables were cleared rapidly for those who were waiting). There was a congenial buzz with contented visitors of all ages - from toddlers to senior citizens, students and ladies who lunch. Essentially self-service, although if your dish requires lengthier preparation (eg a toastie) you'll be given a numbered paddle and it will be delivered to your table when it's ready. Recommended for price, quality, atmosphere, and taste
