Blizzard blessing!!! God bless Meeks Construction! They were heaven-sent today, January 14, 2024. One of their plow trucks was driving past the end of our driveway today in LeClaire. The driver stopped, then said he could plow out my driveway quickly if I would move the car in it. We have a 3 stall garage and the driveway was pretty well drifted in. I backed the car out and he made quick work of it. What a blessing! As far as being heaven-sent, not more than a minute before Meeks arrived, I ran over a buried newspaper that completely jammed my snowblower chute! Metal roof should have been a five-day Project, 29 days and counting and winter is coming. The CEO asks for Compassion and Understanding! It was a shingle metal roof; the job should have been maximum Five Days. Meeks blamed the delays on the manufacture, distributor, and delivery company, that went above and beyond and delivered a 650AM that the Meeks Teams either forgot to order or order not enough.. But I guess you have to blame someone. They in their Introduction to Meeks Construction tells the Six things the following estimate is for. One of the points is "Clean up the entire work area (all nails and other materials). They did not even come equipped with a magnet, let alone a 24-inch wheel magnet like most professional roofer use. If my dog did not step on a sharp piece of metal trimmings from a metal roof, which they represented themselves as metal roof experts I may not have discovered the problem. I went out a purchased a wheel magnet and cleaned a well-covered bottom of a five-gallon bucket with debris the magnet picked up. I told them when we would be back in July and even cut our stay a week short to be back on July 11th, and on July 8th called to reconfirm the Start Date.
