The hospital had a modern look and was immaculately clean compared to some of the hospitals I've been in back home. During my mother's short stay here the nurses, doctors, and staff have been nothing short of professional and caring. Each room here is private with all new cabinetry, bedding, and technology on the walls. They do sometimes offer items for sale in the entrance area set up on tables which was nice. My last day visiting this hospital they had a bake sale. There are also regular amenities you'd expect in a hospital like the cafeteria and gift shop.

Anyway, I call and the receptionist says that I can't be seen until June 21st, but that she will connect me to the nurse! What's the point of doing that? The nurse there does nothing to help! All she ever says is "Go to urgent care!" I have a doctor, so why do I need to go to urgent care?!? After I made the appointment, I was sent a link from Beacon to make a new appointment if I wanted to be seen sooner. So, I'm able to make an appointment for June 10th. I schedule the appointment, then today, two hours before my appointment, I get a call from Barbara telling me that I won't be able to be seen today and that I have to wait until the 21st! And why can't I be seen today? Because it's only a 15 minute appointment! Okay, and?!? I can't be seen and treated in 15 minutes?!? Oh, and Barbara said someone called me and left a message, but no one ever called me! That's another thing about this place. They lie about calling, they NEVER return phone calls EVER, if insurance puts a prior on a medication, I either never get the medicine or get it two months later and the nurse is rude and if you have an issue and are connected back to her, she tells you to go to urgent care, even though having a doctor is WHY you shouldn't have to go to urgent care!!! Beacon is a huge joke and they time out appointments, so if your appointment might take 20 minutes and all they have are 15 minute appointments, then you may be waiting a month or longer to see the doctor! This place needs to hire new staff and get rid of the lazy, incompetent, lying employees who couldn't care less about the patients! My doctor called me in a medicine on April 28th and my insurance put a prior on it. I kid you not, I did not get that medicine until 4 days ago on June 6th! This is what happens with this office every single time there's a prior on something! So, took this worthless staff over 6 weeks to get me my medicine that I should have had a day or two after it was originally called in! My first experience there was with my mom who took me to get set up with her doctor the lobby was full of older people I told my mom I didn't want an old person doctor and she said no honey he keeps his patients alive. At that time I had seen several doctors to try to figure out what was wrong with me and they figured it out. I will not go anywhere else. The group is not perfect, no doctors are, sometimes you're going to wait, sometimes you're going to catch someone on a bad day but you will always get the best care there and that's what you're really going for. If you want everyone to be perfect, and every nurse to cater to your every need, well that just isn't realistic. People will always find care facilities that are good and you can tell the good ones by the number of clients in the lobby. If you really want to know what kind of care you will get there, go there and talk to the people in the lobby. I wouldn't take a lot of stock in a few disgruntled people, most people are quick to condemn and slow to praise.

I've been going to this location of the Southbend Clinic for over 15 yrs. My Dr retired two years…read moreago and i got placed with another in the same facility. I have seen my new Dr around ten times and have scheduled a physical with him twice. in the two years that I have been with him he has not gotten up off his stool and provided me the service my insurance is paying for and i have yet to get a physical. I complained to him about pain in my neck and head and the response was thats weird. i complained about chest pains and instead of getting up to listen to my heart he scheduled me with a cardiologist. he has never checked my heart, lungs, feet because I'm diabetic, absolutely nothing. i finally after two years got up the courage to file an official complaint and what did they do transferred me to another location 35 min from my home and 45 min from my job and I have yet to hear anything from anyone in management from this facility or the head of the SB Clinic. either this Dr is a homophobe or he is just providing bad service to all his patients and insurance companies are getting taken to the cleaners and the SB Clinic is allowing it to happen. I would never reccomend anyone going to this facility or any location of the SB Clinic because they truly do not care about their patients.
