Having been to this hospital multiple times with my parents who have both had cancer several times, I can say they have all been amazing. Everyone from the front desk to the person helping them to the car and all in between have been extremely helpful, caring and just all around great . I highly recommend this hospital. read more

Unsure of all the negative reviews for this hospital. As a visitor to this hospital and state, to me this hospital looked brand new inside and out. Maybe a recent renovation? The hospital had a modern look and was immaculately clean compared to some of the hospitals I've been in back home. During my mother's short stay here the nurses, doctors, and staff have been nothing short of professional and caring. Each room here is private with all new cabinetry, bedding, and technology on the walls. They do sometimes offer items for sale in the entrance area set up on tables which was nice. My last day visiting this hospital they had a bake sale. There are also regular amenities you'd expect in a hospital like the cafeteria and gift shop. read more

We were in the emergency room for quite some time, but that's not uncommon in the hospital. The staff was good and attentive. After we moved upstairs to the PCU, we never had difficulty getting help when we needed it. It's important though to have somebody helping you communicate when you're in the hospital. read more

Took my husband in with bleeding from dental work. Both doctors were great. Not only medically but personality wise. Very good experience.

The room we were in (Emergency Room) looked filthy. Just not clean at all. I want to understand the filth because it is the ER and a lot of patients are in each room every night but this is build up beyond 3 nights. I don't know, maybe sanitation in hospitals has fallen to a new level for acceptance. read more

If I could give them 0 stars I would Absolute crooks double billed for contrast on a mri refused to take it off my bill, also sent me to collections even though I've made every monthly payment and some months made two payments. When you have a appointment and the doctors cancelled your appointment why when you call back to reschedule the appointment you are put on the bottom of appointments(6 months) later. The patient should have priority, not 6 months later. And your computer answering system stinks also. read more

This hospital does not even deserve a one star rating. After having some trouble with right leg they found a blockage and after three visits with them they assured me that they would have me in and out and back to work the next day. I woke up on op table to see a stream of my blood squinting up towards ceiling and at that time they put me out and when i woke up i was in tremendous pain. They would not even give me anything for it. After picture's was taken they found that they cut my aorta an half an inch in length. These doctors made jokes about this and one more time told me they can fix this. I left that hospital and spent three days in a another hospital where i was told it was not a good ideal to go back in that the risks was high. So now i have to live wondering when the bubble will break. read more

First off my Brother was sent there and I feel they were the cause of him dying. My first impression was the hospital was dirty, it reminded me of and out dated run down nursing home. Once in my Brothers room, it smelled of poop. His room was littered with dirty clothes, dirty trash ,which you could clearly see that it was full of stool, his bed hadn't been changed, teeth weren't getting brushed. Now what bothered me most that there was 3 to 4 nursing staff right out side his room door who was having a good ole time laughing and talking, when I asked if anyone was come to bath my Brother and clean his room they all had attitudes, giving me a look as if I was a bother. Very unprofessional, building very dirty, the staff lazy, rude I wouldn't advise anyone to be sent there. Oh yea my Brother ended up dying. read more

I took my husband into Goshen hospital he was having his third stroke for this year in less than 3 months because of the wonderful vaccine. He was seen not even a month prior to this last visit with another stroke so I brought him in for the third stroke I told them that is what it was. They did not believe me so they ordered an alcohol test they checked his urine for alcohol they asked us if he had been drinking we told them no he does not drink. So when your patient tells you that they do not drink you automatically assume they're a liar instead of checking for what is the actual concern which is a stroke. they performed another MRI and confirmed that yes he had had a third stroke. So because of the wonderful emergency room doctors that failed to listen to their patient like they should have I am stuck with the bill that I should not have to pay. read more

While getting RV serviced in Warkausa , my husband developed chronic hiccups. We arrived approximately 10:30, vitals were immediately taken and he was put in an ER room. The doctor can in about 30 minutes after the RN recorded the necessary information prescribed a shot and pills. I would definitely recommend and return here if need be when we are in the area. read more

Don't be afraid to drive past this hospital to get to the next one... you will probably get taken care of faster and get better communication at the next one anyway. In fact, you might even get home faster even if you have to go another hour or so down the road. GH's communication and timeliness throughout my wife's surgery was awful. At a time when I at my most vulnerable, they left me in the dark. The procedure that I was told would take an hour and a half took almost twice that, and no one bothered to touch base. After that I waited another two and a half hours before I got to see her even though they said it would only be an hour... even then they did a poor job of communicating where I should go. My wife asked the nurse or nurse's assistant for pain medication at one point and she left and did not return. 45 minutes later we had to ask again before she got some. The next day when the doctor cleared her to leave it took another 2.5 hours after she cleared her. We asked several times, but we were met with one weak excuse after another. I do not like to complain as I know they may be busy, but I sincerely felt if I had said nothing we would have been there even longer. I am usually pretty patient, but not when my wife is uncomfortable and we are getting the run around. I feel like GH believes there are no repercussions to giving bad service and communication, but if you have a choice between hospitals, pick the other one. read more

Despite having a really snarky nurse in the ER, my stay at Goshen Hospital was much better than at the ER at Elkhart General Hospital. The rooms are private (divided by walls, not just curtains) The nurses in the ICU were so friendly and so caring to me! They responded fast to a nurse call and were extremely helpful when I needed it. This hospital will be my first choice if I had to chose between the two! read more

Absolute shit help here at the emergency room 3 hour wait time while every single person is helped before me especially the ones that came in after me and now they r telling me it's gonna b an hour or 2 more before I'm seen and more than likely another 3 hours of sitting in a room waiting on results and to b discharged that's an 8 hour emergency room visit which is absolute bullshit too bad I can't put 0 stars because that is what they deserve read more

Rude staff in ER. I was not at all well and they had an attitude. Once to a room check in was sporadic and no one quite knew what was going on. Now several weeks later I'm finally getting this done right at another hospital where they call me by name and are treating my injury professionally. read more

I have gone to Goshen Hospital since the 1960's. I have seen it grow and am amazed that the staff is still as wonderful as they were when they were a small hospital. My reason for the mid-range rating is the difficulty in contacting them. Many times I have called them and no one answers the phone. I need to make appointments to have lab work done and it is ridiculous that I have to drive to the facility to make an appointment and then come back for the appointment. I live 30 minutes away. Or, I could walk in and wait, which often takes 30 minutes or more to get in. In fact I have experienced that long a wait when I made an appointment. I find that unacceptable. read more

I had a great experience with the urgent care services. The registration was flawless and quick. It wasn't busy so I didn't need to wait long which was great because I wasn't ill and didn't want to pick up any illness while waiting. I saw the Nurse Practitioner and was very pleased with my visit. She was kind and understanding. She never rushed or rushed me. She was pleasant and knowledgable of my orthopedic injury. She respected me as a patient and as a heath care professional as well. I was from out of town so everyone was helpful with assisting me get around and to the closest CVS afterward. Later I had lost my paperwork and had to call and request another copy so that I could file an Aflac claim. Again, they were polite, helpful and timely with my request. Kudos to all at Urgent Care! Never ever go to this hospital. I was given an estimate for an xray for $95 which i paid before the service. As I was not having any health insurance I was looking for cheapest service in town. I was told that this is an estimate and the cost may be different and it should be $50 up or down. This difference was acceptable but after 3 weeks I got bill for $300 additional. I then called the financial department and they said that there was some mistake with the estimation at the time of service though I was responsible for the additional $300. This hospital mugs people. Better to use MDsave if you do not have any health insurance or paying out of pocket. Never ever go to this hospital. read more

From the smiling red coats that escorted me to the GI wing to the wonderful staff that walked me through my first colonoscopy, I cannot say enough good things about this facility. Everything was clearly explained to me in a professional, expedient manner. The staff was smiling, positive, patient and sensitive. I felt comfortable and confident the entire time. ER service was the best around. About the only service around. Visiting from out of town my child got sick & is asthmatic. We recovered care right away. Staff was excellent, listened to our history of child & our concerns. I was impressed since GH is not a Pediàtric hospital. My only grave concern is they advised me 3* they do not file Out Of State Medicaid. I would need to file myself. Well when I started to recieve bills, I contacted Ins. They made numerous calls to GH billing asking to send "them" my ins co the bill so they could process it & PAY the bill. GH would not relent. Even after I filed a complaint.So I started goin up the ladder & spoke to a director that "resolves" issues. GH decided to "write off" our bill as "charity"... Well, I've never had this issue before & even ins agents have only heard of 1hospital that acted this way as well. It is UNhearD of in the medical hospital industry to NOT want to file Medicaid & get PAID! For this, I feel sorry for people that go there to get help that need it. If submitting my bill to ins wouldn't have been an issue, GH would've gotten 4-5stars... read more
