I went to this store because I want to recover my own dining room chairs. When I arrived the store was neat and clean. Mark was very helpful with recommending the different products that I would need to complete the job. His recommendations were in line with what other people I have talked to that do this sort of work. The padding I needed was also very reasonably priced! This is the most frustrating experience I've ever had with a small business. After choosing the fabric in October to recover my bar stools, I was told they would be ready for Thanksgiving. That day came and went with promise after promise. I stopped in on Dec 12th to find the fabric was the wrong color! But Mark promised to order from a different company and said he might have the 3 bar stools done for Christmas. Ha! Stopped by again the first week of January. No fabric. Nothing. No phone calls. Lies and excuses. He promised everything would be ready today. Zero. How can anyone do business like this? read more

If there was a negative star, this business would get it. I ordered fabric and was told he would have it in a couple of days. When I did not hear from him, I called and was told it was in transit. I was also told he would check on it and get back to me. Never heard from him. Called several times, but he did not answer the phone. I went back and was told, again, it was in transit. I went back a third time (a month has gone by at this point) and was told it was sitting at UPS, he would get it and deliver it to me. I told him I wanted it that afternoon. As I was leaving, he said we could work something out. I told him we were not working anything out, I wanted the fabric I paid for. That was 2 weeks ago. Needless to say, have not heard from him. I submitted a dispute with my credit card company. The credit card company has credited my account. read more

My complaint is the same as "P. C." only it's the Rockledge Medlin's Fabric & Form. We brought our swivel reclining chair with ottoman into the shop on JANUARY 13,2017 to be re- upholstered. Ordered and paid for the fabric that we choose and to this day (JUNE 26, 2017) have not received our chair back. We have received multible lies that it will be ready next Friday, even to "it'll be delivered to your house next Friday". Don't waste your time or go out of your way, waiting at home on that Friday. I have never done business with anyone like this. I am not even sure how they stay in business. They do lie about every excuse they can use as to why the work isn't done. Use at your own risk. CAUTION!!! Purchased fabric, and brought chair in for recovering 9-24-16. Needed it for Christmas and was told no problem. After several times going into the shop and receiving excuses, chair wasn't ready by Christmas. It is 5-15-17 and I still don't have my chair. In August 2019, my daughter and I stopped by Medlin's on a Saturday. I asked if I could look at the samples in the store because MR MEDLIN, the original owner had recovered a sofa set for me and I loved it. Mark English, the current owner is Mr Medlin's son-in-law and took over the business when Mr Medlin retired. Mr. Medlin was such a honest man, I'm sure he is spinning in his grave at the way Medlin's is being operated by Mr. English. Mark English is a liar and thief. On 9/11/2019, Mr English came to my home to show me samples, frankly, it was a little strange he never measured the sofa, he just showed me samples and unfortunately I fell in love with one of them. I told Mr. English I was starting a remodel of my kitchen and family room and I wanted everything perfect because I had never owned a new home and this was my dream come true to have a new kitchen and family room and I had saved for 5 years to get it done finally!!! I asked him the amount to recover my favorite piece of furniture and he gave me a quote for the fabric which was $899.00 + ups charges $15.00. Stupid me I presumed that this quote included everything just I recalled that the original Medlin's price was for fabric, new foam and seat cushions and labor. NOPE, on 10/14/2019 I called to see how the job was going and was told I needed to pay an additional $288.00 for new foam which included an addition of a Cushion for a footrest in my family room. Needless to say I was in shock. On this day I found out that the couch apparently wasn't even started because of the hurricane and they were back logged. (One month had passed) I told Mr English that my remodel would be completed in early October and I wanted my couch by Halloween he said "no problem". Halloween came and went. I called Medlins, several times at the beginning of November no answering machine and no answer. I finally called from work from a number he didn't know and Mr English answered the phone, he was very nervous on the call, rude and promised my sofa now by Thanksgiving. The Monday before Thanksgiving I called, believe it or not, he answered and told me my couch wasnt done but I would love it and he could lend Me a couch to have my family gathering over Thanksgiving, needless to say I was more than angry, I declined the offer for a loaner couch (gross) and my family gathering was moved to someone else's house. I called Mr English for several days in a row no answer until he finally answered and I told him I wanted a total refund and my couch back. I also told him I was still in shock that I had to pay $288.00 for foam and he said he could "put the old foam back in the couch" which I replied "that's ridiculous" and I expected no charge for the foam and he said we would work it out. I told him I wanted to see the couch before he delivered it to my home to make sure the workmanship was good before he deliver it, he kind of laughed and said he would make the arrangements for me to see the couch a few days before 12/14/2019. Before he hung up, he again sweared and promised that my couch would be delivered today, December 14,2019, I asked what time on Saturday I could expect the delivery at my home because frankly, I was getting a creepy felling about the man and wanted to not be alone when he came with the couch. Well as expected, no couch and no call. I made over 20 calls to Medlins because on their website it said the shop was open. I called my ex husband to come over and stay at my house just in case this Jackass showed up. A friend and I went to Medlins in Rockledge because the shop is open until 3:00 on Saturday. Got to the shop and there was a note on the door in Mr. English's writing...OUT OF TOWN ON BUSINESS WILL RETURN ON MONDAY. I am so angry and upset that I was taken in by a thief and crook in my own community. On Monday, I will give it one more college try to get a complete refund of my $1288.00 and my couch. If unsuccessful, I will take the necessary steps to get a court order to get my property and money back. Please believe me this is such a terrible small business. read more

We provided 2 chairs and paid in good faith for the fabric to have this job done. Now I have found the truth about my situation with this horrible company. He promises things which are complete lies. He never calls you. This man farmed out my job to another upholsterer with out telling me or my approval. He never said he could not handle the job. He never says anything. When I call him I am provided only half truths or outright lies. I am not a disgruntled customer, I am a pissed off customer who was treated so rudely and poorly I would never ever ever recommend this company to anyone ever. DONT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS SCUMBAG. He has no courage to tell the truth because he does not care about his customers. Now I have to pay some other upholsterer whom I did not choose, or research for my chairs. I would give them a negative star if it were available. My grandmother gave them a couch 7 months ago and still has not received it back. She continues to contact them and they promise delivery but the delivery date arrives and NO couch. She even showed up there with a sheriff thinking these people wouldn't lie to her in the presence of an officer but guess what?!??! I'm not even sure if they actually have her couch anymore because they won't show it to her. It's mind boggling that this is happening. Who runs a business like this????
