When we got to emergency I went in and got a wheelchair to help them get inside easier, once we got signed in they asked if they could walk to get the chair back. Yes, but very painfully. They did not seem to care, the nurse that took their vitals did not even tell us the numbers from the vitals, they asked for a urine sample and did not tell us the results of that either. We were told to sit and wait, after about an hour of seeing other people coming in and getting immediate care or at least an ice pack or medicine to hold them over I asked the care team for pain meds or an ice pack for my partner. They were in so much pain the entire time there, could not sit down or stand up without tears in their eyes. One team member asked if I needed anything from the hospital I responded "pain meds or anything to help, mg partner is in a lot of pain" she pointed me to the nurse that pretty much as soon as I walked in the door told me there is "nothing" he can do and that they have 60+ patients in. I can literally see the ice packs and medication right there that they "can't" give me even though multiple people in the waiting room received meds and ice packs. They didn't even tell us that many people were in when we checked in, no one asked them how much pain they were in either. Complete lack of empathy, no communication, you're better off self medicating at home. This place is a joke.

" I think the Walgreens my boyfriend went to just shrugged and took his cash. It does make getting my typhoid more inconvenient, but I have piece of mind. Just like most men, I'm scared to death when anyone talks about doing anything with "the boys". Met with Dr. Dragomir Jovanovic in Arlington Heights and he explained the procedure, the method they use and the potential, but rare, side effects that may occur. A week later I was having my vasectomy done and it was amazing. I was given a generic form of Valium half hour before my procedure. You will receive a prescription for it at your consultation. You may require two, btw. I was scheduled for 11:30a, so I went water only for the AM to ensure the drugs worked. Dr. Jovanovic has relaxing music playing and his assistant Keith both prepped me for the procedure. I literally felt a slight...slight might even be too much...pinch as we began and then nothing. Dr. Jovanovic asked how I was during the procedure, to which I replied "fine." 20 minutes later, I was done. I put my pants back on, left with my after care instructions and was out the door at Noon. Yes, 12p. SOMEONE WILL HAVE TO DRIVE YOU HOME! I got lunch immediately upon leaving and felt great the rest of the day. I could have gone to work following the procedure if the meds didn't make me so groggy and if I had a desk job. I took two Tylenol Arthritis (650mg each) after lunch, two at dinner and I have felt zero pain. This morning my wife and I looked for the site of my procedure and neither of us could find anything! So far, so good... I will update as needed, but if you are worried about having this done, this was by far better than the stories I've heard from my friends about needles, scalpels, sutures and burning flesh. Im having the craziest week of all…read more For starters I usually get great care here. Today I came in because of chest pains that felt like a squeezing of my heart & electrical pulses. Upon entering a Fort Knox the Receptionist seemed annoyed when asking for my ID I handed my ID and Insurance card goes in the back comes back and tells me it's going to be an hour and hands me back my ID and Insurance card. I expressed I'll wait what's the worst that can happen If I Fall out on the floor, She gave me the unpleasant look and took my ID and insurance card back. For the record there are 4 cars in the parking lot including mine and no one else there. Which made me feel they did not want to take care of me. Within less than 10 min they had me back on an EKG The doctor was super nice, caring and answered all my questions and cleared me to go to ER for further testing having me call for my son to drive me to Alexian Brothers Emergency room In Elk Grove village. No beds in the hospital. Put in an area of the hospital that they "opened" for overflow ER admins. Medication mistake. Food served on same tray urine bottle was kept. Hospital issued socks (required by hospital) never given to patient. Nursing staff didn't know anything about the floor we were on. Never worked on that floor before. Overflowing trash cans; no one doing any cleaning. Meal orders were usually wrong.

After spending few hours in ER she was sent to General Lutheran hospital for further evaluation due to Northwest Community Hospital does not have pediatric services. We ended up having 3150.48 dollars balance, and, it does not include radiology services, transportation, etc. After multiple attempts to file a financial assistance we had a denial. Total waste of money! Please avoid that hospital at all cos!
