We love the Lodi branch of the Medina County libraries. I have a two year old and a four year old that look forward to every library outing. The staff knows us, and many of the other children we see there by name. They make it a point to say hello and have conversations with my tykes. We like going to story time and playing with the train table afterwards.
The library sponsors so many free programs for kids, teens and adults, all of which are very well done. Because the Lodi branch is one of the smaller branches, the programs are never overcrowded. Last night we attended a "My Little Pony" party that was beautifully executed. The community room was decorated with crate paper pony tails and there were stations to play games, make bracelets and pony tails, and paint nails. My kids really liked the make-your-own-button station. Cheryl patiently helped my kids use the button maker, making them feel very important. On the way home, my four-year-old said, "The library always does such fun things."
The Lodi library is making it easy for me to help my kids love to read. read more
