I have never attended one of these events before and was curious as to how it would be. It was delightful!!! A library representative did a interview with Kristan. It was all about her life and her new book. Kristan then did a reading from her new book. Then they took questions from the audience. It ended with Kristan signing her books. Kristan was amazing. She was funny, sassy and engaging. I would highly recommend these Author Events sponsored by the Cuyahoga County Library.

Kids area This…read morelibrary has a great kids area. It is on the left side of the library when you walk in. They have a pretend vehicle you can drive that has book racks in the back. There is a table with play houses and figures, dinosaurs, magnet board, puzzles, and so much more. They have nice seating for adults in big comfy chairs. They even have a video screen where you can play a game like air hockey. Outside on the edge of the parking lot is also a huge play ground for the kids.

As a law student, I am ALWAYS working on something -- may it be a project, a paper, or just general studying, and being my school is about 40 minutes away from NR, the fact that I can get a study room and use it FOR FREE makes it so nice. They have plenty of places to study, and even though the library is on the smaller side, there are still plenty of spaces to work at. There is an area right up front with a vending machine for snacks, coffee, and soda. Plenty of comfy chairs to use. Can't find something in the library? They are able to order anything from other libraries across Ohio! Free library card access as well. Just need a drivers license to sign up! Perfect place to study, bring your kids for activities, or even just get a book and read!

They are gentle with my littles and inquire with sincere interest in what they are doing should we happen to cross paths. They are always doing work and keeping the integrity of the library. The amount of resources available are astonishing and when I came in to ask for how to utilize the online resources I was asked if I could be assisted at another counter while waiting in line, and when I was being silly and hadn't even thought to look for myself on the website which has full detailed instructions, the librarian was sincere and very helpful. It is evident they enjoy their job and excel at making this the best kept little secret that it is. We frequent often and plan to continue to do so!

Huge library! We…read moregave the kids section a visit. It is bigger than most libraries that we visit. They have tons of books and low shelves for the younger section. A great play area with train table, kitchen area, light table and other interactive toys for kids. There are computers for kid use. Along with other play are spread through the library. Near the circulation desk in the childrens section They have a list of all their programs which was diverse and for many ages. There is a pet Guinea pig. Plus some sort of interactive and themed area. Like writing a letter to Santa with reindeer food. My kids had a great time and can't wait to come back!

Unfortunately, they didn't have either books we were looking for, but we were able to reserve the books. The atmosphere is very nice and quiet, just as you would expect in a library. There were several rooms available for reservation. The computer lab had many computers as well as active users. This will be our go to library due to its proximity to our home.

This is the Middleburg Heights branch of the Cuyahoga County Public Library. This is the new…read morebuilding which was built 1 year ago in June 2018. I'm not from the area but I happened to be around visiting my friend In Berea so I stopped in to work on my laptop for a little bit. The building is big from the outside but there is actually only one level (one floor) inside. They close early on Sundays so by the time I arrived (around 4:10pm), they were almost closed. I still had time to walk around for a little bit even though I was only inside for less than an hour. They close at 5pm on Sundays. BOOKS -- You will find a varied selection of books here just like any other library. There is also a teenager section. If you can't find a copy of a book here, the librarians can search the other locations for you to get the book delivered. COMPUTERS -- I noticed less than 10 computers to use at the library. STUDY ROOMS -- I counted about 6 study rooms but there might be more. The door was locked when I tried to open the door so you will probably have to get the key from the front desk. I peaked inside one of the study rooms and there is a round table inside with 4 chairs. It is a small space but it gets the job done. I don't know how the noise level will be with the kids section a few feet away but at least the study room has a door. KIDS SECTION -- It is small but they have some play area activities for your kids including comfortable sofas and chairs to sit on which is at the back by the family restroom. I don't have any kids so the face that this area is small doesn't bother me. CAFE -- There is an area as you walk in (to your right) for you to eat and drink. They have vending machines there which is nice but this is not a traditional cafe with hot food. NOISE LEVEL -- It was quiet when I arrived (Sunday afternoon - 30 June 2019) and there were only about 3 other people inside. I'm not sure how noisy it will get when the kids are around because there is no wall to block off the noise since the whole library is on one floor. You could also book a study room if you need peace and quiet. PARKING -- There is plenty of parking outside on the lot. Overall, I didn't stay here long but my first impression is that this is a very clean library with friendly staff. It is very conveniently located and easy to get to. Very manageable size to be intimate and cozy. The minute I walked in the desk attendant was asking if I needed help. Which I did!
