It took a long time for us to get in touch with the salesperson and we really had to work to move the install along, which surprised me considering that the sooner the system was connected, the sooner MVS got paid. That being said, when the batteries have gone low, we've been contacted very quickly by MVS to let us know. I hired them to trim two ornamental trees in my backyard because they had done other work in our neighborhood. Their quote was higher than others I received, but I accepted it for convenience. The work was scheduled for Thursday. That day, they called and said they were backed up and probably would not get to my trees until Friday or the following week. My wife and I left to run errands, but later that afternoon I received a text saying, "We are almost done with your trees." I was frustrated because I had not been home to verify the work or arrange payment. When I texted my availability, Tony did not coordinate with me. He simply said he would come the next morning to collect the check. I was home most of the morning, but he showed up during the one hour I was at the gym. Instead of contacting me directly, he complained to the HOA President, which was inappropriate for a private transaction. When he eventually returned, he texted, "I'm here," stayed in his truck, and waited for me to come to him. The exchange was uncomfortable and unprofessional. The tree work may have been completed, but the poor communication and customer service were unacceptable. I will not use this company again.

After working with him over the years, we don't think of him as just another vendor. We think of him as someone we've built a relationship with and trust a great deal. We have several maple trees along our driveway, and the one closest to the street lost a large branch during a recent storm. This wasn't the first time the tree had dropped a major limb, so we asked Bret to assess whether it could be saved or if it was time to remove it. Once we decided to take the tree down, it took about eight weeks before the work was scheduled. That wasn't an issue for us because Bret had been upfront about the timeline from the beginning. The three-person crew arrived Wednesday at 7:30 a.m. and finished by 11:30 a.m. What impressed me most was how well the team worked together. Everyone had a clear role, they communicated constantly, and there was very little wasted movement. It was obvious they had done this together many times before. I don't know if every tree service operates this way, but I was amazed at how clean they left the job site. Every branch, twig, and piece of debris was removed. They clearly take pride in their work and treat your property with the same care they would their own. If you have storm damage, need routine tree trimming, or simply want an honest opinion about the health of the trees on your property, I would strongly recommend giving Urban Tree Specialists a call.
