This morning, I was looking for an urgent care in the area. I looked at all the reviews and found the MedExpress had the best ones. I was outside their door and it promptly at 8 AM. I was greeted by the front receptionist and was brought back quickly! The wonderful medical assistant Melissa took very good care of me quickly was friendly and knew exactly what needed to be done. she was very attentive and made sure I was ok till the end! Once the doctor arrived, she greeted me with a smile and took care of me. From the moment she came in she was able to resolve the situation with my severe cut. They knew I was nervous and helped me get through the whole process! I highly recommend this urgent care! read more

When the person taking you in is told expressly the blood pressure cuff size they are using is not right and is going to lead to a wildly inaccurate reading, and they insist it's fine, then wonder why they are obtaining such a number - and you continue to try to explain to the supposed medical professional why, and they can't be bothered to get the correct cuff no matter what is said, then I don't trust anything about the visit after this. Scheduled a sports physical here, only because we had to reschedule regular Ped. Physical because if school only to be waiting an hour and half for a 5:30pm appointment and still have not been seen. Explain to my why do I have to A. Pay for it when we have insurance, and B. Why in heavens name do you have more receptionists and nurses than you do providers??? They should never schedule appointments if you're going to take every single wall in under the sun and you only have 1 provider. Did a lot of running around went back to this place twice to assist me on my potential symptoms and they needed a referral even though they've taken my insurance card and did not let me know who I would possibly see for my condition. I later went across the street on Cooley to an actual urgent care. And notified me of my current condition. MedExpress isn't so urgent to express assistance. read more

Went in at 6:30pm to get my child seen and they were unable to see him. The lady at the front desk was sitting there in her cell phone and informed me unless us was having trouble breathing they weren't able to see him because they close at 8pm. Keep in mind there was none on the waiting room and one other vehicle in the parking lot. This Med Express is trash, the staff are terrible and I would not recommend. She told me to go the ER if I needed him looked at and the point of an emergency room is if it is an EMERGENCY!! read more

I went yesterday for a COVID-19 test. I tried to book an appointment prior to going but was told just to come and call from the parking lot when I arrived. I did so and was promptly registered. Once the registration process was completed, I was told to wait for a phone call. After 45 minutes, I decided to call back and check to see where I was in process. It was at that time that I was told they were running at a 3.5 hour wait! I asked why wasn't I told about this at the beginning and they apologized. However, I could not wait an additional two hours and left. Not a good way to run a business! If you are having a problem (especially in these trying times) just let people know at the outset. read more

The quality and timeliness of care has gone completely into the trash. I brought my wife here at 9:15 this morning. It's now 12:15pm. She has been moved into a room and not seen yet. Completely rediculous for a walk in clinic in my estimation. When we walked in they told us 45 minutes. 90 minutes later is when she got called and actually got out of the waiting room. Went for a small laceration on my thumb. The PA suggested she numb the area to prepare me for a few stitches. She jammed a needle into my bone. It wouldn't go in, medicine was spilling out everywhere. She kept saying you're going to feel pressure. I was was excruciating pain she told the assistant nurse to "hold her down". I was trying to get a covid test , they told me it was a 60.00 fee to be seen. I have insurance, and I contacted them while I was in the parking lot. I am absolutely covered and the test should have cost zero out of pocket. The receptionist said they are considered a "specialist " and therefore re xx quite a 60.00 co pay . On September 30 I visited MedExpress I was having asthma symptoms and a bad cough. There I saw Dr. Annette Millie. After We dicussed my medical symptoms I explained to the doctor that I was traveling on a relief flight to Puerto Rico in two days in an attempt to ask her about meal replacement strategies. However, before I could complete my question the doctor interrupted me and said " I am not giving you narcotics" I was both shocked and insulted that the doctor would pressumed I was some sort of drug abuser in search of opioids. I am a professional and the only reason I can presume the doctor made such an assumption is because of my last name and my accent. Went to MedExpress on a Saturday evening because they were the only Urgent Care Clinic open at the hour. The front desk staff were friendly. The wait time was excessive- approximately 3 hours for the whole visit. I was seen by Dr. M. Johnson due to me being attacked, badly, by my cat. She was excellent. Very through and knowledgeable about the situation. Every doctor I have seen post visit regarding the injury states they would have done everything she did in terms of treatment. She answered questions (somewhat sarcastically at times) but did not make me feel rushed. Overall positive experience. read more

I tbrought my 86 year who was sick. It was a week ago lTuesday at 6 p.m. We were never greeted nor asked what was wrong with dad. The receptionist took my dad's Medicare and his supplemental health insurance with the Hartford Life. The waiting room was empty. We sat and waited for 20 minutes. Until I finally asked her what was taking so long and asked if they cared what was wrong with dad. The woman was having trouble inputting Dads insurance info. But never asked what was my dad's problem. I was so disappointed with the entire deal that we immidiately left and took dad across the street to Doctors Express. What a great service we got from Doctors Express. Bottom line: we will never go to MedExpress again. No wonder their waiting room was empty! They lack customer care service. read more

I give this place 2 stars given that it was clean and the front desk staff were very nice. I'm a PA in the ER and decided to stop by this place rather than pay a higher copay at work to get a simple blood test. I see that there are 3 people ahead of me that looked like they were all there with a viral upper respiratory infection which seemed like it would be quick (I typically see patients like this in a few minutes and discharge them quickly unless I get a chest X-ray, but can still keep seeing new patients while waiting for it). I was told by the front desk staff the doctors would be with me "shortly" which should never be said if your service is slow. I waited for 1 hour and 30 min until I was called...just to get vital signs. I was then placed in a room and had to wait an additional 20 min. I could have had faster service in my busy ER. I finally see the doctor who types on his iPad the entire time (you would think this would make them more efficient, but no), who then tells me that they don't perform this blood test there (I was requesting a D dimer for possible PE). I was also told that I would need a CT scan of my chest to rule this out anyway, which is not true. When I told him (respectfully) that this was a waste of time and I need to get going, he told me that urgent care centers don't perform this test. I'm affiliated with the Partners healthcare system in Boston and they ALL perform this test. So bottom line, complete waste of time, very inefficient urgent care for the type of patients they had in the waiting room and lack of specific blood tests that every basic medical facility should have. Don't waste your time. I read the urgent care across the street is better and let's you check in online, so go there instead! read more

NP Faisal Ijaz was extremely unhelpful and rude. He offered no solution to the symptoms I was experiencing and told me there was nothing he could do since he is not my primary care doctor. I was forced to go to an Urgent Care facility due to the COVID concerns of my primary care physician. One of my symptoms was that I had a fever. I had just spent 3.5 days of major headache, chills, temp, and body aches, and lost 6 pounds. The woman on the phone was very pleasant, which provided a valuable smoke screen. Once in they gave me a quick COVID test. Fifteen minutes later the Doctor literally came in, said my test was negative, handed me the test results and discharge papers turned around and left the room. I literally chased the Doctor down the hall to plead with him to help me with my symptoms and help me find out what was wrong. After the 3.5 days of these symptoms I was pretty desperate. He said there are a lot of virus. Six hours later I ended up in the ER where they drew blood and did some other tests, and found out I had Anaplasmosis from a tick bite. BTW flu test was also neg. Our experience was horrible. Everything up to meeting the physician that day was excellent. When the doctor walked in - his physical appearance was atrocious. He was very unkempt, dirty scrubs, salt stains half way up his knee, shoes crusted and in poor repair. His bedside manner was incredibly brusque. There was some difficulty in finding a vein for an IV. He came in, brushed the nurse aside and proceeded to tear my spouse's skin trying to get one IV in. The needle actually stretched the skin and came thru the surface. He tried the other hand and got it in and then leaned back on his haunches and pulled it right back out. Blood spurted everywhere. he stated "it came out" and he walked out. AGAIN - every single person we encountered was excellent, friendly, communicative and empathetic - until the doctor was involved. If we ever have the need to visit a clinic, we'll check to see if he is on duty, if he is we'll go across the street to the other clinic. Never again. This guy needs to be dealt with firmly. He definitely should not be the "medical face" of aclinic. read more

My husband and I were both seen for upper respiratory infections back in Feb and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. Friendly office staff, great medical assistant and the MD was so kind and actually listened to our symptoms! Writing this now, in June... as I'm just back from taking my son, seen for a viral infection that's been persistent. As a new patient, his check in with insurance info/signatures was fast. Seen within five minutes of that and visit complete within a half hour. I would recommend them for any urgent care needs. read more

I went on 12/30/2016 to make sure I didn't have an infection in my lungs since I have been having some discomfort for a while. Chest pain I mentioned and in the pass, year 2000, I had a heart attack but I knew it wasn't. I just wanted a chest x-ray. They gave me a package deal like they were selling cable or direct tv and said, with the chest x-ray, would be an ekg and some other test. It was almost closing time, 7:15pm on a Sunday, they close at 8pm. Doctor came right in and said, I should go to the ER. They had x-ray machine and a ekg and labs. So why can't I get what I asked for. You should go to ER just in case your having an heart attack. I said, I already spoke to my heart doctor and my primary doctor about the inflammation in my chest. I paid for an X-ray, I want one. Doctor was too worry about getting out of there and he appearance was atrocious, hair messy, dirty sneakers, sloppy, smelled like he was drinking and stinking. No bedside manner. I complained I just paid, 169.00 for what, nothing. You guys are a rip off, how many people do you do this too. I wanted my money put back on my credit card. They took it quick enough but slow as a snail to give it back. Hello, it's been a while and I have been very patient. My lawyer will be getting involved if I don't get some results very soon.
