most of the staff are fine. Some of the receptionists are incredibly rude and unhelpful. I've been here twice and they are eager to say they can't help you and to go away. the physician also make you wait at least 30 minutes in the exam room read more

I came here hoping to get ex rays of my wrist after I got into a dirt bike accident and they didn't have someone to take ex rays so I was not able to find out weather my wrist is broke or not and sent me home with two options go home and deal with the pain or drive to one of their other locations 40-60 mins away to get ex rays read more

I made an appointment online for 4PM, arrived at 3:45PM, got checked in & wasn't seen until 5:12PM!!! If I just walked in, I'd expect the long wait. I made an appointment to avoid the wait, but I guess there appointments are just for fun & don't actually serve a purpose. read more

MedExpress Urgent Care - Urgent Care Near Me - Monaca, Pennsylvania

Everytime I have gone here, the staff has been unbelievably rude from the second I walked in, they've misdiagnosed multiple people I have talked to including myself and the staff is the most clueless group of medical professionals I've ever come across. read more

I called last night for an appointment and was told to "just come and in, we open at 8:00". I showed shortly after 8:00 for a Covid Test and the sign said cal from your car... I did exactly that and the number I called stated it wasn't in service, then busy. I went inside to get berated for not calling the crazy number stating the number wasn't working. I laughed and suggested they post a sign that stated it was working so keep trying. The idiot followed me outside, I guess she insinuated I can't read, only to see for herself that no sign existed. I called over 100 times until someone finally answered and said they were booked for the day??? Seriously, there were literally 15 cars in the lot; hence, that was absolutely not true and ridiculous. Many people were angry and went inside to also be berated! DON'T waste time at this joint! It's a joke and certainly fraudulent, since you can't walk in as all information states! Walgreens actually takes appointments! This place is absolutely, 100% illiterate not to mention just plain stupid! read more

My kids and I have been going to this med express clinic over the years for all kinds of things when we can't see our regular PCP. There isn't a time when I can look back when we had a negative experience. Of course, the wait can feel long at times but it will be wherever you go to see a doctor. However, once we were placed in a room and saw the medical professionals everyone has been nothing but professional. Last night was no different. Unfortunately, last night I needed a tetanus shot and was not happy about having to take the time to do this. I first saw Linda and Tim. I have dealt with Linda in the past and she is wonderful. Tim was very kind and attentive . I ended up seeing Dr. Sima Assefi and she was professional, knowledgeable and nothing short of fantastic. Dr. Assefi was one of the best doctors I have ever encountered. I highly recommend the Monaca location. read more

If I could rate this a zero star I would. Absolutely unacceptable service! Called many times and was ignored. "Phone lines were down" I don't believe that for a second since I got through many times but was hung up on over and over. Horrible place DO NOT RECOMMEND!! read more

Composite: This is a very convenient small RX shop. Directly on my turnoff to CCBC so I've made it a go-to place for a lot of the small household items. I've not used the pharmacy per se. But as a local RX shop it serves many folk as the lot is always full and many people come into the RX area. Lot is very small off Broadhead Road -- careful on entry and exit. Most drivers are alert and polite here... but some not. f8 and be there. read more

I came in today and obviously did not expect to be in and out being as the waiting room was packed. I waited an hour before I got a room. After I was put in a room I waited another hour before anyone had come in. When I opened the door to make sure no one forgot about me the Physicians Assistant says to me "oh you've only been waiting an hour? Good for you" in a very sarcastic tone. She was extremely rude and I would never go back there because of her! I understand medical workers get frustrated but patients do too when they are in pain! She wasn't very professional or empathetic. read more

Called to state that I had broken my tooth this weekend and believed I had an infection. Was wondering if they could potentially do anything, as my dentist is closed and I can't find an emergency dentist. Sandra very crudely stated, "uh, we're not a dentist office, we are an urgent care." Yes, thank you, Sandra, I know you're not a dentist, I'm not an idiot, I was just hoping you'd be able to identify an issue and treat it. Apparently that's asking too much for an urgent care office. I was seen at a convenient care and treated with antibiotics until I can see my dentist for an abscess. Way to go, MedExpress. read more

They knew I was coming for a covid test which my work was paying for but made me suffer in my car in their parking lot for almost an hour before they said ill have to be seen by doctor cause I'm having symptoms. They don't take my insurance!! Idiots read more

This place is terrible, spent over 2 hours there! Found out I had the flu after they did a swab. Listened to my lungs said they were clear then wanted to do a chest X-ray before the results from swab came back! Not a doctor but this did not make any sense to me. Sat there over 2 hours sick as heck, you would think people would want to get you in and out. I will not ever go back there for anything! read more

The worst place ever!! Poor customer service and wait time is horrendous!! The only person needed to be seen and still waited an hour! Employees busy eating and conversing amongst each other instead of actually working..figures! read more

Been here 30 mins with no in in the waiting room. Every time I come here it takes forever

What a great place to have at your finger tips. Of course, I started feeling ill on a Friday and my PCP has no weekend hours and my illness didn't merit an ER visit. The convenient hours of 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. as well as the convenient location made this Med Express Urgent Care my choice for care. Upon arriving, you are welcomed into a warm, clean, updated and kind of "trendy" waiting room. You are quickly registered and taken back to be seen by the P.A. or Dr. The nursing staff is amazingly caring. I waited and was treated in less time than my usual waiting room wait at my PCP. They staff also called on Sunday to be sure that I was getting better not worse. That was a great feeling, to know someone cared! read more

Let me just start out by saying that I am not one for writing reviews. Even for bad experiences, but I have never been so upset. First, I registered and she told me that there were like 14 people in front of me. That was no problem, as long as they got to the bottom out it. I have a big cyst looking thing in the back of my throat, and one on my tongue as well. I have had it for quite a while, been to several doctors. Recently it has grown and I have difficulty swallowing and eating. Soooo, I waited a little over an hour just to be seen(again no problem at all). Went to the room, I waited an extra HOUR, I had to work the next day and was exhausted falling asleep in the chair. While I was tired, all I could hear is people carrying on outside the room. The lady tested me for strep when she was taking my vitals, but of course I knew it was not. I let her take the culture anyway. Finally, the lady comes in, I explained to her what was going on. I said that my left ear felt clogged(I assume from the cyst). She said that she could barely see my ear drum and that she was going to have someone come to flush it out. She said that maybe it was my tonsils, I assured her that I have no tonsils, she proceeded to look in my mouth. In the back she could see, she said it was weird because I have no tonsils. She called the lady in to take yet another culture, which I heard that they should have just touched my lump to check for bacteria. Not my whole mouth because that ruins it. She tried calling it viral pharyngitis, I gave blood when I first found it and they thought that too, so of course I knew it wasn't. I did not argue however, they should have taken a biopsy of it. So now I have to make a doctors appointment, I don't have one so I had to find one. She sent me out (never did send someone in to flush my ear out, guess she forgot). Of course I got the call back saying that it came back negative. So now here I am, much worse and I have to wait two weeks for my doctors appointment. My glands are huge and all I can do is worry. What makes me so upset is that I have to pay this medical pill on top of my other one, for such a horrible experience that did nothing. She even told me she could prescribe a mouthwash, but it doesn't seem necessary because I can still eat. Now its much worse tho so it seems like a waste. read more

My daughter was at this location 3/25/2019. Staff checked for strep throat and test came back negative. She couldn't sleep and went to her PCP 3/26/2019 am. Her doctor looked and could tell she had strep, did strep test and it was positive. Now on strong antibiotics. Beware of this location in Monaca. read more

My first visit... I'm new to the area and I had a medical issue so I googled the nearest doctors office and this particular office came up. I was skeptical about going because I read the reviews and I was on a time schedule. I went in around 5 ish pm and I needed to have been out before seven. I didn't tell anyone I was just hoping and praying. To make a long story short. I went in waited maybe 30/35 min which was excellent. I went to the back maybe waited another 30min. The doctor came in went straight to work. The only issue which was a small one when she finished it took her a little while to wrap it up to let me go but it was all still in good timing. I was in and out within an hour/ hour and a half. *** Round two I had to go back in for the same issue. I went in the wait wasn't long at all the staff was friendly and compassionate but do not see Dr Susan Dusenberry. She will leave u to die of a heart attack. read more

Took two hours for a three minute appointment. My son needed to have a form filled out. We waited in the waiting room for an hour. Then they called him back where he waited in the examination room for an hour without even a magazine. When I asked if it'd be much longer (since the waiting room was nearly empty and everyone who came in after us had been seen and were gone), the receptionist seemed surprised we were still there. She went to check on what was taking so long, but never came to tell me anything. In their defense, a patient needed stitches and it took longer than they thought. But they could have told us or given my son a different attendant. I thought this would be easier than making an appointment with our PCP. Next time I'll know! read more
