Our family has been working with Pablo and his team at Peninsula Automotive for years and I cannot…read morerecommend this business enough! Across multiple vehicles and issues, from routine service and check-ups, to more significant issues like brakes, emission systems and engine maintenance, Pablo has been a great service provider. Clear and frequent communication, transparent pricing and works to find budget-friendly options, always on-time delivery, and just really awesome customer service and car care. As a woman, I've sometimes felt intimidated by dealing with car maintenance issues, but I have always found this business to operate with integrity and respect. I've never felt taken advantage of, or unclear of their diagnostic process. Absolute transparency and care in how they explain the issues and repair options. And you can tell it's a great business by the company they keep. Pablo has always made great recommendations for other service providers when the work is beyond his shop (solid recommendations for tire replacements, auto body work and more)....those providers have been equally high quality and always take good care of the customers that Pablo refers. Bottomline, this is the exact kind of local business you should support. Especially in a business category (automotive) that is expensive and feels tricky to navigate. Highly recommend!

He makes his money from labor and his labor charge is VERY VERY reasonable. I asked him once why he doesn't upcharge and he answered, "I have been a mechanic for many many years for other people and have seen how they treat people. I wanted to open my own shop to help people feel safe and comfortable in their cars! I love the work and helping people fix their vehicles!" He was serious and he proves that to me time and time again with the repairs he does on my cars. He keeps all parts he takes off to show you He buys his parts as at cost through a distributor and does not up charge. If the best is $22 that's what he charges you. He will hardly ever say no to you He is more than willing to examine and 'take a quick look and listen' as a curtosy He was once repairing the button to close the side door of my van, he opened up the other side and noticed that one was looking a little frayed so just fixed it to save me the hassle later but didn't let it affect the labor time. I cannot day enough good about him. His is TRUSTWORTHY AND VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE which in my opinion are the TWO MOST IMPORTANT THINGS YOU WANT IN A MECHANIC! He has me as a customer for life and he knows that. I bring my cars to him for oil changes, even though I can do them myself because I want him to have the business. Nuff said.

I told him I can accept the charge and I need the receipt with the $40 additional charge to follow up with groupon about it. The owner said I am not interested in the deal anymore and asked me to leave and get a refund from groupon. I also noticed the owner increased the break fluid flush price on groupon from $160 to $240 after I left the shop today.
