Mr. Lusk tends to showcase artists from all over that see more than a canvas full of lilies. Like the July featured artist, Tim Crowder, who paints snowmen in the middle of a green, grassy field in summer. The colors are rich and contrast-y. Almost cartoon-ish, but not quite. Some other artists represented include Maysey Craddock, Linda Disney, Colin McLain, Anne Siems, and more. It's a must-see.

Crosstown Arts is a free gallery within the Concourse that features temporary exhibits. When we visited, we were blown away by an exhibit: "Give a Damn! Music + Activism at Stax Records." The exhibit featured artifacts (including Isaac Hayes's office desk and outfits worn on stage by Stax artists like Johnnie Taylor and Isaac Hayes), music, rare photos, and original artwork created by Shelby County middle school students. It was interesting and of great local interest! A very well laid out exhibit. If we lived in Memphis, I'd certainly make it a point to read up about their exhibits as they open and to visit any of those that interested me! Wonderful visit!

THEY SAVED ME! Forever Grateful!…read more So, I walked in this beautiful place, needing something to be framed ASAP for a gift I needed the next day! (Yeah, I'm that guy.) I quickly realized that I probably came to the wrong place -everything here was so beautiful & well, over my budget (for this simple frame I needed.) I went ahead and told them my situation; what the gift was for & how much I was HOPING to pay for a simple frame. They replied: Okay! We can do that for you. I came back a few hours later and they turned my 11x17 print from FedEx Office (a collage of dozens of tiny pics of the family over the past years) & they turned it into a BEAUTIFUL, MATTED & CUSTOM-FRAMED piece of art! I was speechless. If I ever have a nice office again, I'm going to decorate with some of wonderful Memphis Artwork in their gallery. In addition to custom framing, there's so much beautiful art here -but I enjoy most the Memphis and Memphis sports themed art. I tell everyone to pay them a visit.
