When I got home and unloaded everything I had a total of 4 packs of cubed at about 1&1/4 lbs each. I dropped off WAY more than 5 lbs to be cubed. In total I got about 38 lbs of meat. I expected at least 50 to 60. Anyway, I know where not to go next time.

The venue was so pretty, it surpassed any of my expectations when I signed up for a farm to table dinner. The barn was beautifully decorated and organized, hosting 250 guests yet never felt packed. The stage area sits high so any seat is a good seat with a view of performers or speakers. Upon arrival we were greeted by the event organizer and by Swank's farm owner who told us a bit about the farm and their message about locally grown and sourced food. He also informed us about how they offer monthly produce bags, "Swank Sacks" delivered to Whole Foods Market who they partnered up with, where you can pick up your produce bag with items all grown at Swank farm, providing you a taste of some of the seasons flesh's and organic produce. The evening flew by while listening to the delightful sounds of live jazz and enjoying our carefully and deliciously prepared 5 course meal by all the amazing guest chefs that night. It was a fantastic experience and a pleasant way of learning to enjoy slow food as opposed to fast food.

Plus it had a lot of features not at my local branches. I was surprised to see a large (long) salad bar, an olive bar, a separate coffee cafe, and a popcorn station (!). The produce was arranged like a painting -- colorful and decorative. I was here to find parsnips for a recipe. I'd already been to two other grocery stores with no luck. And yes, they had them! We even got a few other items on sale -- like coffee. There were not many folks shopping when we were there. I'm not sure if it was the time of the day or what. Which tastes absolutely delicious, so if you haven't tried it, make sure you do it because it will knock your socks off unless you're allergic to onions or mushrooms, then don't. This week I got the sushi, which was buy one and get one 50% off because it was on Friday. The crunchy sushi wasn't as appealing as I would have expected normally. Not as good as it is at Publix, I know because it is a different establishment, but that's the best comparison I could put. The workers at that location are friendly, and I love the functionality of being able to use my Amazon account to pay for my groceries without taking out my card.
