It can sit about 300 with a large bar area or host 15 to 20 stands during a promotion event inside. There is a sizeable outside area that has vehicle access and can be used for vans or cars used in the event. There is limited street park and very close to the Alfred hospital so parking can be difficult. There quick access from trams on St,Kilda Rd or buses in Punt Rd. This is a great place to hold the right function.

Predominantly used as a theatre and concert space, the Clocktower is used by schools, local amateur groups and professional productions.It was also used for my highschool grauation ceremony. Its great to have such a multifunctional space in the area that can really be useful to the local community Its well kept, modern and i a real asset to the area. Actually, this is the place to come to see some of the lesser known, but still somewhat popular, bands. The only catch is that there isn't any seating.

The Forum Theatre is right across the road from Federation Square - so lots of easy transportation options. Downstairs is a huge theatre space, wooden floor and high ceilings. There is quite a few nice booths for more relaxed 'sitting' bands too. Upstairs is a large cinema space. It doesn't have the most amazing projection equipment as this only operates for special occasions (Like MIFF) but the space has a lot of great artistic energy and the audience is always excited. The theatre backs onto Hosier Lane meaning you have a very real chance of bumping into celebrities you admire while looking at great street art.

There is a small sign "a not for profit artspace" above their door. Fortyfive Downstairs rents out their gallery space for artists who want an exhibition. And there are different exhibitions here every four or two weeks. Downstairs in the former textiles factory space there are two spaces for exhibitions and a theatre space. I haven't been to the theatre here yet. I must go sometimes as it has regular burlesque shows. Both the very large gallery space and the second smaller space have white walls, high ceilings and wooden floors. The exhibitions in these spaces will have, most likely, changed by the time that you read this so I won't tell you about the art that I saw. And the quality of the next exhibition depends mostly on the artist exhibiting but the gallery is also selective and exhibitions are generally of a high standard.

I've been here a couple of times, but wanted to come back here specifically for some food, though I have noted that they generally offer easy to make finger food, with the biggest being the hotdog. Still that hot dog was pretty awesome, as was the atmosphere. I would call it a craft beer bar, but technically it isn't. particularly since they only have a small selection of beers. What it does have is lots of rooms hidden about the place, which I have to admit is also pretty cool.

The volunteers in the information center with very helpful providing us with discounts and suggestions to help us plan our 3 days efficiently in Melbourne.. The building & area were magnificently decorated for the holidays as well. We saw poinsettias & pines, wreaths, nutcrackers, singing penguins and reindeers outside. From 9 until 11 in the evening a light show was projected on the front of the town hall building. It's very cool. Crowds lined up and we are all oooohed and aaahhhhed as the colors changed.

That's my idea of swanky, call me a simple country boy you may indeed! Specialising in weddings, corporate functions and dinners Leonda is beautifully set by the Yarra although it was stormy the night I went and everything was kept inside. I'm told the outdoor area is the best part of the centre. The food was delicious, particularly the Morrocan lamb which almost fell off the bone as I looked at it and the staff (mostly uni students by the looks of it) were friendly yet professional at the same time. It's not a huge venue but was perfect for a corporate dinner and would be a lovely setting for any wedding.
