I've noticed that over the past 5 years their quality of care and compassion for family has deteriorated. Many mistakes on obituaries,(birthdate etc.)not telling family that they have an option to put a picture with obituary. Seems as though they're rushed to finish paperwork. I've overheard more then once the funeral director tell the deceased family member that their going overtime and it'll cost more. (wasn't discrete about it) I was rushed as I was walking into church and told I could sign book after service. No reason for that. I'm so disappointed that their quality of caring is gone. I do want to say that Pam Griffith has a heart and does care. The President does not. Sorry I'll take my business elsewhere.

Stumpff would not let me see the person, they told me the family had not see him yet. I replied he has been here since Friday and your telling me the family has not been here yet... the reply was No they have not. When my parents passed I went to the funeral home in Caney, Kansas, and sat with each of them for 30-60 minutes a day or 2 before the services. I could not believe the family had not been to the funeral home when the services were the next day. Then, after the services I went online to view the pictures that were shown at the service and guess what.. they were not there! I called Stumpff and told them about this and they immediately loaded the pictures onto the website. This is incompetence at its highest level! I have heard other negative things about Stumpff and I would not recommend them to anyone.

I called the wonderful people at Burckhalter and from the moment they answered the phone I knew I had made the right choice. Dan walked us through the process and spent plenty of time with me, answering questions, making suggestions, and assuring me that they would handle everything so that we could fly in and attend a viewing and lay my mother in law to rest the following day. By the time we arrived in Oklahoma I felt as though we had made new friends. They took care of every detail and truly went the extra mile to make sure that my mother in law was treated with respect and compassion - not to mention that they were SO kind to us. I was shocked that the cost was so reasonable and beyond impressed with the outstanding services we received. I can't say enough about these good people. They thought of everything and even provided us with umbrellas when it rained on the day of her burial.
