It also included some updated landscaping and outdoor lighting. I am very happy with the result and have received several complements on project. The design incorporated changes that really improved the look and "feel" of the access, and improved drainage away from my house. What was originally an $85,000 design project I was able to knock down to $54,000 but it was tough to do so. They have a good landscaping crew that worked efficiently. As my project was done during COVID, there were a snags along the way. Not everything went smoothly, but I tried to be positive about accepting available items (small boulders, tiny plantings, sparse trees, incorrect pathway stone). The overall project cost was expensive as mentioned and I had to work to bring the cost down quite a bit (made to feel like I was being cheap). I was a bit disappointed at the quality of the plantings as I was never given a chance to pick them out and they looked scrawny to me. In fact, all samples of artificial turf and steppers were given to me in micro format, so it was hard to get a real idea of what was going to show up at my door. Not all problems were addressed in the end, but it was on to the next project and I had to tie up a lot of loose ends with lighting, purchasing extra stone, having my hot tub oriented incorrectly, and adding a few plants that I purchased on my own. Recommended but have a vision and oversee the project. Have a big budget, pick out your materials personally, and make sure all loose ends are finished before final payment.
