We were even questioned why we decided to pay separately, maybe he assumed we were dating? Nuts and Bolts: I was very surprised that the smoothie lacked any thickness, and was closer in consistency to a regular drink. I felt a little mislead considering in the photos online the smoothies looked to have normal thickness. The taste was what was expected, like a chocolate peanut butter shake without too much sweetener. My friend enjoyed his but I began to feel a little cheated as $10 for a normal smoothie is decent, but $10 for what we got seemed a little unfair. I truly don't enjoy giving local places a more negative review, but these are just the facts of our experience. I hope this was just a one off experience and we can have a more enjoyable time if we come back.

The food on the other hand was really good. I got the buckwheat pancakes and tried some of the smoothie bowl. The pancakes were hearty and fluffy, topped with a delicious berry chia jam and cashew cream. The plate came with 3 small-ish pancakes which was a satisfying portion that wasn't too much. We were also asked if we wanted maple syrup with the pancakes, but I ended up not needing to add any because the jam and cream were enough. Maple syrup is $2 for a small cup so I would recommend skipping it unless you really want something sweeter. The jam and cream are just modestly sweet which was perfect for me. The blueberry smoothie bowl was also delicious and came with lots of toppings - their granola had a delightful texture. It was a bit of a wait for food, so ordering the breakfast plates is probably not the best option if you're in a hurry, but they have ready-to-eat stuff available if you do want something quick, and the drinks didn't take long. I would be interested in coming back to try more of the food menu if I were in Whistler again.

It wasn't too spicy, but had that nice scone texture, crunchy on the outside with a soft interior. Both were delicious. On our second visit Mr. B went with the vanilla latte and I had to have the Chai Latte with oatmilk again, it was that good. We grabbed another croissant to enjoy with our coffee's. Nicely pressed and the filling was delish. The butternut squash soup was lightly spiced and I think I tasted a hint of ginger in it. Very tasty. I had the flat white which was good and a double chocolate cookie. The cookie was a nice ending to the meal. So big that I had to take the remaining to go. Very yummy. There was a large communal table in the middle with smaller tables by the walls. Not a big place to dine in. The tables were mostly taken by people working on their laptops.
