City of Vine grove don't blink or you will miss it!…read more The City of Vine grove has a nice old time small town USA feeling here. As you as drive through to the creek I believe there is 2 stop signs. They have a farmers market near the railroad track. I'm guessing the population is less than 4000. Two of the liquor stores (stubbies and berry's recently closed down ever since Radcliff allowed alcohol sales in their town. The terrain has rolling hills and plenty of curves which are great for riding your cycle. Make sure to wear your seat belts and watch your speed its easy for vehicles to glide over those smooth new roads.

It is also fun to walk around the downtown area and see old buildings you never would have noticed. The only issue is that some of the areas are not as well maintained.

The artist did a good job of using bright and happy inducing colors on this mural. I'm a resident of Lousiville and whole nearby new Albany I'm not familiar with the area history. I'm going to assume they use to or currently have a giant harvest homecoming event. I've been to school and small country t harvest homecoming and they are always fun little seasonal events. This mural captures a lot of the events and items such as the pumpkin tot will find at a harvest homecoming. Overall very cool and fun piece. Gives me happy feelings of fun seasonal fall fun when I see it. So that's always nice.

My wife and I was dining at nearby Brooklyn and the butcher when after dinner I spotted a few pieces of public art down the roads. While walking down that way I seen in this alley a public art mural featuring two large cats wearing space suits. Very absurd and fun piece of public art. Very cool photo op. I did not notice and artist name but whoever did it done very good job in crating a unwise and cool piece of public art. Overall very cool piece that is a nice addition to a cool area of town in new Albany Indiana.

Located on the side of trendy and nostalgic arcade eatery rec bar this is a massive mural that takes up an entire side of the building. Very well done with bold colors that make it stick out from a few blocks away. For an 80s/90s kid it was cool and nostalgic seeing this mural. It does it job well for the business rec bar as well as it makes you want to check out what else they have inside. So job well done.

Sky's the Limit is one of the murals I came across when I was visiting the area. It caught my eye because it's so colorful, but it wasn't until I did some research about the mural that I learned that it was created for autism awareness. I guess I should have known when I saw the puzzle pieces. (For what it's worth, I've been told by a friend who has an autistic kid that the puzzle piece, which is supposed to represent autism awareness, is controversial among many people in the autism community, for reasons I won't go into here, but are completely valid. I guess you can do your own research about it, if you want!) The mural was painted in honor of Skyler, a local kid who is autistic. The mural has a comic book look to it, and is supposed to be a reminder to people that all kids can be what they want, even a superhero. This mural is kinda interactive because it has adult-sized and child-sized capes painted on the mural that you can pose by for a selfie. I didn't do that because I was visiting solo dolo, but if you have someone with you to take your pic, you should have at it.
