The real reason to come here is to get suggestions on Gluten Free dining throughout Venice. Bring a map so they can mark down where the restaurants are. The people we met there were extremely friendly, and were excited to tell us their restaurant recommendations and even took us through the store showing us their favorite local GF pastries. They told us the owner trains and tests the restaurants regularly, so you can trust their recommendations to be well vetted. The most unique thing we saw while there was pre-made ice cream in a gluten free cone. There were also baking supplies, candy, and lots of interesting pasta shapes that are difficult to find GF in the US -- it's just sad pasta is difficult to put in a suitcase without crushing. Overall the selection was slim. Of course; this is from the perspective of someone living in SF who has lots of access to GF items; so take that in context. read more

It's a gluten free products store. Cookies, savory and lots of other ready and to cook pasta etc. It should be your first stop in Venice. Azurra is also a treasure trove of info about restaurants that serve gluten free with care. Right address is in the photos too 3763 Calle de la Racheta read more

My partner is wheat intolerant (more so in Canada than here in Italy), but we decided to visit this shop particularly with a view to bringing home items that we're otherwise unable to obtain. He got some burger buns, rosemary crackers, and cookies, all of which look great. Pleasantly, the shop also carries and *clearly* labels items that are also vegan - amazing!! The shop keeper was very friendly, interested in speaking English with us (my Italian is terribly rudimentary), and he offered to mark gluten-free restaurants on our map. A very positive shopping experience and conveniently located near to our accommodations :) read more

If you are celiac or gluten-intolerant and visiting Venice, finding this 100% gluten-free market feels like striking gold. Navigating food safety in Italy is already easier than in many places, but having an entirely dedicated gluten-free shop packed to the brim with options is next-level. The store is stocked with everything you could possibly want to take away--tons of specialty gluten-free pastas, a massive pre-packaged bakery section, and a great frozen setup stocked with comfort foods like lasagna and pizza. They also have a fresh refrigerator section with wonderful grab-and-go choices. We grabbed a pistachio donut, some cannolis, and a slice of focaccia cheese pizza. The store owner was incredibly kind--he even warmed up the focaccia slice for us right there so we could eat it fresh and hot. To top it all off, he took the time to chat with us, point out what was locally made, and even handed us a list of other safe, celiac-friendly restaurants in the area to take a picture of. The level of hospitality and the sheer volume of amazing products made this one of the highlights of our trip. Do not miss this spot if you are in Venice! read more
