We were completely happy with the work he performed. We recently contacted him again to do a complete make over of a 700 sq. ft. space that we use as a guest room. Once again we were completely happy with the work performed by Javier and his excellent crew. The highlight of the work performed was the stunning redo of the bathroom. It was a complete demo of the old bathroom and the results were fantastic. Everyone who has seen it and remembered the old bathroom were amazed at the results. Some specific highlights of the work performed on the project: All of the workers Javier used on the project were outstanding. They were, polite, skilled and cooperative. Javier was always available at critical points in the project. We were especially impressed with the painting that was done. It was equal to that of any painting contractor. They always completely cleaned up and hauled away all trash. Not a trivial item. They performed several tasks that were not included in the work order. In one case a sofa bed delivered by Ikea for the room was left unassembled even though we had paid Ikea to do so. (still have not resolved this with Ikea). Javier's workers put it together for us. In another case; we had ordered carpeting from Home Depot and they were to move the furniture out of the room and remove the old carpeting. They showed up a day late with only one installer. It was clear that one person was not going to be able to do all of that. The installer left without notice even though Javier's crew offered to help him. In order to keep on schedule Javier's crew removed the old carpet and moved all of the furniture out of the room. Home Depot did show up the next day with 2 installers and because they didn't have to any other work got the carpet installed. Probably would not use them again. In conclusion we would not hesitate to recommend Javier to anyone who wants a quality remodel experience. Pat and Pam M

Javier flipped my kitchen and two bathrooms. His guys were good with framing but terrible with…read moreplumbing. In the upstairs bathroom, they had a problem with the toilet flange, and then poof! Problem solved! 5 years later, the flange was leaking and the ceiling downstairs is dripping. The toilet was glued to the floor with RTV and that was hiding a massive leak! Turns out they shoved in two wax rings on top of each other, and there was a cone that restricted the drain down to about 3". The cone prevented a flush from dropping immediately down the drain, and the wax ring sandwich leaked! The cone also caused a lot of clogs over the years. Now I have an almost $6,000 plumbing repair, I have to patch my ceiling, and I have a mold issue! There's never time to do it right, but there's always time to do it twice! I also found old cans of Modelo in my attic after the flip!

When we contacted Mazariegos Builder, we needed our sliding glass tub door fixed, our linoleum and trim by the tub replaced, and new caulking in the tub. Yoel was amazing! He is so knowledgeable and skilled at his job. Our sliding glass tub door wouldn't stay closed, and he fixed it so that it stays closed when someone is in the shower. His caulking work is flawless, and the linoleum he put down looks perfect as well. In addition to his amazing work, he was very kind! He even offered to get me lunch when he went to get his own! They had a SEVERE LACK OF RESPECT FOR OUR HOME. - Lost keys on 2 occasions (we found them on the front porch and back porch, he claims since I found them, he didn't lose them) - Left doors unlocked on 3 occasions ( he claims it was not his crew, that it was my housemates, but twice were on the night he lost the keys and once when the house was empty) - Front gate open 2 times, this is a busy street in Berkeley, so people just walk in - Windows left open 2 times along with a long ladder 15' away from the open windows. - Did not cover our beautiful original hard wood floors with tarp (except when they used MY window curtains), Domingo now says it was not his team, that it is old paint, NOT true! We had to wash the floors 2x's and the stager had remove the rest. - Left trash all over yard, work waste tossed on the ground from the porch, food waste thrown around the yard. - Team members left toilets un-flushed on 2 occasions! Did not discover until next day walk through (it was #2!!!!) disgusting! - Painted around a plant instead of moving the plant from porch (not kidding) he carefully painted around the plant on the porch so when we lifted it, there was a circle. - Left house debris on top of newly landscaped plants 2 times on the same day, after being told the first time they did it again, killed 3 of the newly landscaped plants, didn't replace them. - Over charged on add on items (shame on me for not getting price), he did not update his billing. When I brought to his attention, he added the work he forgot and we paid 2k more. I wanted to negotiate with him due to all of the issues we have had to deal with. He said that if I didn't want to pay he would put a lean on my house. - They did not have their own garbage bags for their own waste. I put garbage cans out for them. They never emptied them and we ended up getting fruit flies! - They tried to put paint cans in my recycling garbage 2 times - Used my duster handle for a paint stir-stick! - Domingo did NOT apologizing for the poor security but instead said "Did anything get stolen? No, then what is your point. All I hear is blah blah blah." (Yes he actually said that!). I told him that I was very disappointed with him but he could care less. I guess he has enough work. I live an hour and a half away so getting there to check on things would have been difficult. Thankfully I had someone watching the place for me! They were able to lock up and check on things. We had a project manager that we went through or we would have got rid of him. She ended up having to go by the house every night for a month to double check the house and yes, she found it unlocked after his brother was working in the afternoon. He came out, gave us an estimate and not only was the amount fair, he would do everything we needed. Best thing was he was with us during the entire process of choosing and designing our cabinets which we bought from a local business. We removed walls, installed new floors, new paint, he did it all.
