Okay, so the SECOND best sushi I've ever had (behind Shabu in Amalfi). For taking a culinary tour of Italy, we sure couldn't pass up on Japanese (especially when our AirBnB host highly recommended this place).
This place could be picked up and dropped into NYC or London or LA. Just a super classy, chic, low-lit sushi bar with attractive waitstaff.
Definitely pricier than most of our meals in Italy (actually, I think it was THE priciest, come to think of it), but well worth it.
We skipped apps and desserts and went straight for urakami rolls. I unfortunately don't remember all the rolls we got (it was 6 total I think), but a few stand out: one with lemon crumble (delish), one that was a smoked BBQ jawn (yes, you read that right), and one with KOBE BEEF on top and served with Sriracha (oh yeah). That last one was bougie as hell but justified the pricetag.
All tasted wonderful and that Kobe beef one melted in our mouths. I think that smoky one was my favorite, though. Lemon was wonderful, but still couldn't hold a candle to that one in Amalfi.
Service was fantastic. There was an issue with our bill but they very quickly resolved it. read more
