I hired Mike to maintain my yard in July last summer. The agreement was his crew would mow with a…read moreself propelled mower. I observed his crew on camera mowing on a riding mower after attempting to cut with a push mower on very low (twice). Not only was my yard scalped during the hottest time of the summer, the crew damaged my irrigation system. I asked Mike to come and repair the system, but that never happened. I always paid in advance and because I had a $40 credit I asked him to just fix the irrigation system and have his crew skip the last cut and just trim the hedges and clean the flowerbeds. I have yet to see or hear from Mike since. I consider the $40 for him to keep it as a Blessing since he introduced himself to me as a Christian. So he can pass the $40 that I paid him for no service to someone else or keep it for himself.

Mike wrote down my very hard to understand directions, and was able to not only find my house, but he fixed my yard and sent me pictures of everything after it was done. Lloyd's son, Luis, came out with 1 other guy and knocked out the whole thing in 1 day. Luis was also friendly and helpful, and spoke perfect English which always helps. Looks great, the 1 complaint I have is that the color of the cement is not close to the existing patio. I thought it was understood to make it closer color-wise.

Frankly there was a lot of junk in the yard in addition to natural materials that needed to be cleared out. He was able clear out everything without any additional charge (including a large rusty grill). We needed someone to help us determine what would be worth including and what could be passed or done in a more cost-efficient way. I would highly recommend him.

I have had the pleasure of working with the owner, Yotam, on a custom project in a house I bought…read morerecently. He is very easy to talk to, communicative and super reliable. His office is located on the street next to the Jeep dealership off Kirby. He has plenty of samples to show you and is more than willing to give you some to take. Not only is there beautiful stone to browse through with him, but also backsplash, tiles, bordering, etc. I ended up buying a few slabs of a gorgeous marble from a quarry in Vermont, which looks just like Carrara/Calacatta but a fraction of the price! Plus, it's a lot denser than the average marble, so it doesn't stain as easily. The house builder's manager was very difficult to work with, and had already wanted to charge me an arm and a leg to have my stone delivered from Yotam's stone yard and cut for the countertops, and were also taking forever to schedule a pick-up/delivery time. Yotam was accommodating and got me someone else to deliver the marble slabs to the house in a timely manner, so I didn't have to hassle with the builder. He also gave me a bottle of sealer to place on the marble to help with resisting stains even more. Once the stone was cut and installed, I could really see the quality in my chosen stone compared to the standard granite the builder suggested. Side note: This is the same company that provided the beautiful stone to the entrance of Tootsies at West Ave, so you know it's high quality! I'll definitely be using Habitat Stone for all my future stone projects!
