I had my solar system installed in september. I waited until now so i had a gauge of how it…read moreperformed over several months as well as time for any kinks to show up. I called 3 different contractors. All 3 used a mapping program to get an estimate of how well solar would work before installation. One company said solar wouldnt work at my house due to shading. They were wrong. the remaining 2 companies send people to my house to do an onsite evaluation to finalize a proposal. Circulars was the one that seemed to fit my needs. My goal was to provide in the neighborhood of 60-70% of my electrical from the sun. Installation wasnt without flaws. the actuall installation took only one days. it turned out there was a problem with teh inverters that took a couple of weeks to correct. It wasnt the fault of circular but was an inverter specific issue. Circular stayed on top of teh problem and got it resolved. after operating for 4 month my utility came out and said there was a problem,in that I had the wrong meter and no agreement with the utility. this was something I ahd though circular had taken care of. It turns out that the agreement WAS in place and the utility had misplaced it. Thats why the utility hadnt replaced my meter. They came out and met a circular rep and the meter installation took only a couple of minutes. Again I cant fault circular for someone elses issue. Getting solar installed isnt a simple process. there are many steps that have to be gone through. Ive created a blog of my solar experience here https://goingsolaraustin.wordpress.com/ Overall I'm glad I went solar and chose circular

After 3 years of great uses of my solar system my SMA shutting down . Try calling Circular and they moved to Dallas. Email them and they gave my information out to some installer. Try email again and no reply. The reason for the review is they want your business but they don't take care of you in the long run.

NBU is a city-owned electric and water utility. What blows my mind is its $22 million per year of…read moregeneral and administrative expense (overhead). Holy crap, that is an absurd level of needless expenditure. Very little of this overhead would be spent if NBU were a unit of a larger utility, such as (for example) Centerpoint Energy. With Centerpoint's enterprise value / EBITDA multiple of 13x, that means NBU is worth hundreds of millions more to a buyer than it is worth to the City, all else being equal. Selling NBU would allow us eliminate 100% of the City's debt, cut taxes, and put something approaching $500 million into a permanent fund for more important things, like paying premium salaries to police, fire and EMTs and securing sources of water. It boggles the mind that our city leaders prefer to maintain the current incestuous arrangement at such a huge cost to the City's financial condition. Auction off NBU and get our city into a bulletproof fiscal condition.

Once I decided to go forward, the installation went very smoothly. The installers and two service reps were on time and one service rep helped me move things in my garage for the piping to be installed and then helped me put it all back once the install was completed. I've had the unit for a week and they came out today to review the system and to tesI the water. I don't have any more chlorine and I have soft water starting to flow through. I feel taken care of if I need anything or have questions. I highly recommend Culligan.

Unfortunately these last 2 weeks we experienced yellow water & low water pressure. Called Culligan and was told it was not a water softener issue. Had plumbers come check our tankless water heater and run various diagnostics. Called SAWS. Called 2 appliance repair companies and everyone said the same "it has to be your water softener." A Culligan tech stopped by for maintenance and told us all was working well even though he was only here for a couple of minutes. The issues persisted. Again called plumbers, SAWS, appliance techs and was told the same. At this point we had been dealing with the issue for 2 weeks! We decided to call Culligan again, even though their technician had been here days before, and reached them after hours. We are so incredibly blessed it was Adan O who was on call and returned our call. Immediately he knew the issue!!! He came by that same evening and was able to resolve the issue in minutes. We dealt with this for 2 WEEKS!!! If it weren't for Adan, we'd be canceling our contract.
