I have came to this location multiple times for myself and my kids. Sometimes you can be in and out like sometimes you have to wait.. they do treat you either way with care and patience and listen to your complaints and try to help you as much as possible. I don't know why there are bad reviews for this place, but I've been here twice and I'm actually very happy with their service. Quick check-in, very short wait times, nice and friendly staff, but most importantly, they don't judge me for not doing the protocol check-up, (which other places consider as loss of charge) or wanting to give my kids antibiotics, but instead they found me an organic Pedialyte alternative on Google. Haven't been seen yet but NOT impressed. My doctor recommended it for preop services. Gave me 7 minutes after sign-in to make my 30 minute drive. Kept texting me telling me to reschedule while I was driving. Office staff also NOT impressive. Sitting here waiting with 5 other pts. in a less than welcoming waiting room. Black chairs and white walls with no pictures, only a TV that keeps playing elevator music, BAD elevator music! One-star review for the horrible visit I had with MD Now today. Went in with an obviously swollen and extremely painful, inflamed joint. I was told an x-ray was unnecessary, as it was probably just due to inflammation. I knew something wasn't right, so I asked for an X-ray anyway, while I was there, just to make sure I cover all my bases. After I was told there were no bases to be covered, but they wouldn't mind doing one, I was then notified of my 2 small fractures. I requested to take a photo of my x-ray, to send a photo to my orthopedist back home (I am a student here at FIU)... I was told that wouldn't be necessary and they could just give me a disc with the images. Well you really can't utilize an x-ray disc unless you work at a doctor's office, so that's mostly useless to me. I asked to use my phone to take a picture anyway, or have the photo uploaded to my patient portal, and I was immediately denied, due to their policy as a "private entity." So since you're a private entity, I'm not allowed to have a photo of my own x-ray??? Please, make it make sense. Alternatively, I also asked for a medical records release form to have the images sent to my orthopedist. I was told that would take 7-10 business days. 7-10 business days??? Very, very lazy medical care! They take your money and diagnose you with the same thing they diagnosed the other 20 patients before you without so much as a single test. My wife has had a mild cough now for a couple of months that got worse over the past week. So, I decided to have her go to the MD Now Urgent Care on Flagler and 102 Sw (Miami). They felt her throat, which was swollen (obviously from the cough) and prescribed her antibiotics. I live with her and I have a weak immune system. I would've caught her bacterial infection long ago -- she told them all of this, and they still sent her home with a cycle of antibiotics that's going to be completely useless in this situation. Had exceptional care and was seen almost IMMEDIATRLEY. The documents and insurance verification process was not that long even though there was only one person before me. Dr. Yoo was very nice and was very courteous of my needs. He gave me a breakdown of what i needed and was very happy overall. Expect your wait time to be obscene. it doesn't matter if the day is busy or if the waiting room is empty - you're waiting 30 - 45 minutes, minimum. You can also expect misdiagnoses, conflicting diagnoses, errors in sending your prescriptions, and less than 5 minutes with a doctor. Also, although they advertise they have X-rays, the technician isn't there every day. There's no set schedule for the technician, it's just complete luck of the draw. Drive somewhere further away than here. An extra 10 minutes in the car will save you 30 minutes in the waiting room. I've been here over 20 times over 5 years. These experiences are not one-offs; it's a pattern of errors on their part. I only come back because it's close to my house, but I regret it every time. read more

I never really write bad reviews but this place astonished me. I went in to get routine employee labs done and I'm not joking I was in there for 2.5 hours with staff that had no idea what they were doing. It seemed no one knew how to utilize the computer, or whatever system they use. They truly had no idea what they were doing, going back and forth, sitting me in 5 different rooms? The doctor saw me for a speck of a minute. The energy in the entire clinic was no one wanting to work. Don't bother checking in online because you will wait 45 minutes in waiting room and another 45 in exam room. I saw the provider for 30 seconds and she did all the things a MD shouldn't do. She looked in my throat for no more than 1 second, diagnosed with sinusitis without even looking at my sinuses or up my nose, checked BP and auscultated over my clothes. Seriously don't go here unless you have time to waste and want a random diagnosis thrown at you. read more

I've been to urgent cares before and they usually fail me. But this MDNOW location is different. I am glad I did because I will go here from now on. The receptionist was really nice, their system was down and she didn't make a fuss about verifying my insurance, I made a payment on good faith and they would correct it later. She explained it all to me and was professional with everything. I only waited 5 minutes or so until I was called. My medical assistant was fantastic too. Very professional and funny. She actually heard me out and asked questions, it was a great experience and that made me feel like the staff was good so far. That had me at ease. Lastly I met my doctor who was also genuinely concerned, funny guy and asked the right questions, explained every thing, he even showed me diagrams of what he was talking about and how the issue I had works. My case was very very odd but I think he got it on the money. He was a very smart doctor! He took his time to make sure of this diagnosis. The other person who came in after, asked where I should have the medicines prescribed sent to. This is good practice too because normally people don't ask... I'm happy with the service I got here. Fever & chills started last Thursday mid-morning while at work. At 7:00 pm I couldn't shake the symptoms after Advil and lots of water. As someone who never gets a fever when sick I was concerned and went this MD Now at the suggestion of a coworker vs the local hospital's outpatient. The front desk intake staff was friendly and quickly took care gathering information to process my visit and get me in to see the Dr. inside in indent 10 minutes. Quality of care,once inside, was quick. Dr. Chidiac came in as soon as rapid test results were ready. Dr. Chidiac explained treatment plan clearly and took time to clarify my questions. Overall, an unexpected positive experience. I would definitely go to this MDNow again! read more

Worst experience ever ! If you want to die go there. I took a friend who was very ill and requested a wheelchair because she could not walk herself inside. The first I was asked - before they even saw my friend - was what insurance does she have ????? I had to call 911 from there because they were basically saying that I should take her to the emergency room of a hospital. I made an appointment 4 days ago to have a Covid 19 Test at this location, this morning when arrived on 06/25/2020 immediately after arriving I told my Insurance was not accepted wish at the time of making the appointment I was told that I did not need insurance since the Covid 19 test was free. This was an insult since I feel I have the Covid 19 virus and could of gone to other sources and not waste four (4) days to be told I wasted my time. Playing with people health in this time of crisis is an insult and lacks responsibility. I will be contacting the BBB to alert them as well as CDC and The State of Florida Human & Health Department. Overall not very impressed. It is in a nice new plaza and looks modern and clean from the outside and the lobby area. Once we got into the personal rooms that's where the illusion ended. My wife was having leg pain so I debated between urgent care or the ER. The doc asked a few basic questions and referred us to the ER just to be safe. We paid a $75 copay and waited an hour for 5 min with a dr who appeared uninterested. Only to be told to go to the ER "just in case". They had no equipment (ultrasound) to check for a DVT or other possible issues. We have used other urgent cares often in the evening or on weekend that were quick, responsive, and professional. This woman who calls herself a doctor is the most unprofessional person I have ever met in my life, we took my cousin to the urgent care where this lady where she was standing her guard, he had severe pain in his abdomen and was unable to do at least an abdominal X-ray, she just took the pressure and even with the super low pressure she decided to discharge him house and when he arrived at the hospital, my cousin ended up in emergency surgery because of an aneurysm... Do not come here! The Front desk receptionist and does not accept any patients after 7:30 PM. No matter the circumstances, dying or having a heart attack, she needs to clock out at 8 PM. Also, the receptionist states all 50 MD Now Urgent Care locations do not accept anyone after 7:30 PM. The so called doctors here are terrible. Came in to get an X-ray to send to my orthopedic doctor because of severe hand pain that I've been dealing with for a while and got brushed off and not taken seriously. Miguel Rodriguez Garcia talked to me for no more then 2 minutes saying I did not need an X-ray or anything because I had a pulse and hemoglobin so my hand isn't injured (I am well aware this does not make sense). He said I had full function and no swelling when there clearly was and I couldn't move my hand, even the assistant said it looked bad. Said I had a sprained wrist (I have no wrist pain), wrote me two unnecessary prescriptions, told me I need to do RICE and explained in to me like I am a child. I am a college student who has been an athlete my whole life so I am well aware of pain and when something is wrong. People like this need to have their license revoked for such unethical behavior and wrongdoing. read more

I've been sick over a week now with cold like symptoms. I went on a Saturday, knowing that certainly it would be packed. The guy at the front desk had a bit of an attitude when he told me how long the wait would be. Over an hour wait. (Everyone has their bad days I guess) so I let it go and went back home. I returned on Monday, same guy was there but in a better mood. I was attended with in 15-20 min. The nurse was amazing. Super personable and was so sweet to my daughter who was also sick. I was told I had a respiratory infection and was prescribed antibiotics. The doc was nice and knowledgeable. I've been taking the meds, and everyday feeling a little better. On August 15, 2018, I visited the MD NOW Urgent Care Center at 9971 W Flagler Street after spending a night with a high fever and waking up with an extremely sore throat. From the moment, I arrived my experience was subpar, and it only got worse from there.          A man dressed in scrubs called me in from the waiting room at 11:15 AM. I asked my sister to accompany me into the room and expressed that I gave my permission for her to be in the room with me. He however, did not believe that she was my sister and asked her to stay outside. This same person then took my vitals. I was wearing a thick jacket because of the chills the fever induced and this man proceeded to take my blood pressure over my jacket. He did not even think to roll up the sleeve of my jacket. I asked him if it would be better for me to take the jacket off for a more accurate reading, to which he said that I didn't need to.          He then took my temperature, and that is when things really got out of hand. I had transitioned from having chills to sweating (very common with a fever) and thought that my temperature reading would be inaccurate if I kept the sweater on. I offered to take off my jacket and this medical "professional" very crudely and bluntly responded back, "you're not going to get naked, right?" I was in utter shock. Never had I encountered someone so disrespectful, uncivil, and ill-mannered in the medical field. From that point forward, I felt uncomfortable being alone in the room with him, and there was nothing I could do about it because he did not let my sister in.          I was then taken to another exam room by this person. He once again took my vitals and noticed that without my jacket on, the measurements seemed more normal. Imagine that!          Next came the Nurse Practitioner. She entered the room with a medical mask on, introduced herself but kept an irrational distance from me as if I had some deadly disease. She asked about my sore throat, grabbed the light and looked down my throat from an irrationally distant length. She suspected strep throat and ordered to have a quick strep test done to confirm.          The strep test was conducted by the same man that made inappropriate remarks to me earlier. As he prepared the test, he vulgarly said to me, "I'm going to swab your throat, so don't gag." I have had my throat swabbed before in doctors' offices and never has the person swabbing told me not to "gag." At this point, I quickly began to realize that this individual was taking advantage of his position as a medical assistant to make inappropriate "double entendres" to patients. In an attempt to make matters less awkward for myself, I tried my best not to "gag," but it still happened, as gagging is a normal reflex to have when one's throat is being examined. This individual responded by saying, "oh, I was expecting that anyways."          To make matters worse, my medical chart was filled out incorrectly. I realized this when the nurse practitioner came back to tell me that the strep test came back negative and that she wasn't worried about my elevated heart rate because I was breast feeding. I was a puzzled by her statement (to say the least) because I was not breastfeeding. When I told her that was wrong, she asked me if I was sure, as if I would just suddenly forget having carried around a child for nine months in my body that I now had to breastfeed. It turns out that once again, the man with all the crude comments to make had incorrectly denoted on my chart that I had a child and was currently breastfeeding. I do not know how this person has managed to keep his job as a medical professional.          The cherry on top of this medical nightmare was when the nurse practitioner admitted to me, after only performing a strep test, that she had absolutely no idea what my diagnosis was. She then asked ME if I wanted antibiotics, as if I was the doctor who is supposed to know whether or not my condition would improve with antibiotics. I, the patient, paid a visit to an urgent care center to be my own health advocate and be sexually harassed all in the same visit! read more

Clean facility, at least the waiting room and the patient room. However, the slight trash talking by the front desk staff is ridiculous, she truly does not need a megaphone to announce anything. Just by her I understood the meaning of unprofessionalism. She answered the phone of a new employee who's 1st day or training would be today, however the employee called out. The things she was saying once the call was over was uncalled for. Finally once in the room after about 10 minutes I was checked for the flu, my the medical assistant then waited another 5 minutes to get results. The doctor came in, did not introduce herself and immediately asked me how many days has this been going on for 1 day? I said no about 4 days now. I guess if you have the flu it always starts the day before? She checked my ears and the back of my throat without telling me if they were ok? Then checked my lungs and said it's a little congested but it's ok......she told me she's prescribing me I think 3 or 4 medicines, which by the way she gave me the medical terms for all of them, then asked, ok is there any questions you have? I asked yes what medicines are you prescribing? She then repeated it, again in medical terms and said it's a nasal drip. So all those terms are for one medicine? She mentioned after, that this will help with your sore throat too...I don't have a sore throat at all. This full consultation took no more than 4 minutes, I docked the time. At least the medical assistant was polite, although I can hear him talk to the top of his lungs in the doctors station about all types of things, while I was in the room with the door shut. Please look for another location because all the way from the front desk, to the doctors there is no leadership, no ethics, no accountability, and worse no Expectations on how a staff should treat any and all patients. FYI I HAVE SENT THE EMAIL TO FOLLOW UP AS LISTED BELOW, AND NO ONE HAS GOT BACK TO ME YET. read more

If you have asthma or a respiratory condition, even if you don't have one you will be immediately smacked in the face the moment you walk in with a very strong fragrance/plug in of some sort! Not appropriate for this place. I, who was fine and who was accompanying my father for a severe respiratory infection immediately had shortness of breath. However once you go to the consult section it's fine. The nurse was cute so it helped and was very thorough and attentive. Worst urgent care experience ever! I am so disappointed with how I was treated in this facility. I always take my children to a children's urgent care, but this place is close by and there was no wait time online, so I took my daughter for an xray because I suspected that she swallowed something. The lady at the front desk was very nice and did tell me there were no pediatricians, but that they were still able to see her and do an xray. So I decided to stay...big mistake! There were 3 people in front of me and I still had to wait close to an hour. The nurse also told me they would be able to do an xray. While waiting for the doctor, I could hear the entire conversation between the nurse and doctor (the door was left open). I was shocked to hear that even before examining my daughter, the doctor had made up his mind that she was ok, based on that conversation. The doctor walks in and begins to tell me that there's nothing he can do because the xray machine they have would not catch anything that she may have swallowed. But for my peace of mind, I should go to a children's urgent care since they have better equipment there. Then he tells me "let me check her anyway". Really? That's your job, Dr. E Herrera. He then asked me, with a smirk, if this was my first child. He was rude and so condescending the entire time. He made it seem like he was bothered and I was wasting his time. This doctor has absolutely NO bedside manners. Made me feel like I was making a big deal out of nothing, and I shouldn't have to feel this way around a doctor who is "treating" my child. Had he been a little nicer during the conversation and gone about it in the correct way, I would have felt differently. I can completely understand if the facility is not equipped properly to treat children, but tell me from the beginning so that I don't waste my time waiting on a doctor who is rude and has no desire to help. I went to this urgent care on Tuesday because I had a really bad cold. The doctor didn't even spend 5 minutes with me ! He put the stethoscope to my chest and looked in my ears. That was it. He decided that I had an upper respiratory infection and sent me home with antibiotics. To make a long story short, turns out that what actually had was the flu. Which was properly diagnosed by primary care physician. I went back today to get a refund for my money for being misdiagnosed, the doctor verbally abused me and made me feel like I was an ignorant person that (and I quote) "saw something on tv" that made me think he was wrong. The supervisor even asked him to leave the room. When I expressed how upset I was, to the supervisor, because of how the doctor had handled my concern, the doctor proceeded to burst into the office where I was and continued to scream at me. I felt so uncomfortable and degraded that I decided to just walk out of the clinic. I had to finish my complaint with the supervisor outside of the establishment so that the provider would not continue to get involved. I went here because it's by my house and I wasn't feeling well. They had three people and none could take my blood or find a vein! They kept calling people over (most looked like Dougie Howser) and no one could do it! They said I needed to go to a lab because they couldn't draw blood oh and they still charged me for the visit! Needless to say I will never go there again. If you can't do something so basic as to find someone's veins (I've had blood drawn hundreds of times) then how can they be trusted with anything else.
