Dr. Harris was friendly and I never felt rushed through the many questions I asked. She explained my condition, the procedure that came next and the following steps I'd need to take post-procedure. Dr. Harris went above and beyond, in my opinion, to ensure I got a referral for bloodwork to rule out any underlying causes for another skin issue I was having. Her kind and personable demeanor set the bar. I 100% recommend her! 10 out of 10!

From the moment you walk in, Sara greets you with the biggest smile. Brooke is just as genuine and helpful! The ladies at the front are helpful, kind and prompt. I feel special coming into the office, which is saying something because my skin scares me! Erin Brimhall is truly one of a kind. She doesn't not take my worries and brush them off. She biopsies the spots I don't like as well as which ones she doesn't like. She tracks concerning ones and monitors them which gives me peace. She has removed atypical spots and found in situ melanoma. I have continued seeing her every three months for skin checks and it allows me some comfort in knowing she is doing to the hard part while I protect my skin. Dr. Harrington has done two excisions for me. One, Mohs surgery with clean boundaries and only one pass through for removal. He completed an excision today for an atypical mole that we didn't want to keep around. I cannot speak more highly of his bedside manner and care in completing the excision for me. Naomi was so great helping him, making me feel comfortable and distracting me while I talked the ENTIRE TIME! My skin is better protected bc of this team at Well Ave. Thank you all so much for the care and kindness you give me!

During my visit with Heather Steele, PA to remove basal cell skin cancer my questions were met with vague and impatient responses. The interaction came across as unprofessional and dismissive. I was uncomfortable when she asked me where the surgical site was as it did not give me confidence that my procedure had been adequately reviewed beforehand. When the procedure was over, Heather Steele just exited the room without speaking with me. The communication between patient and health care provider was unprofessional, inadequate and uncaring.

Sterile gloves were not used to close the suture area. I watched the PA and another staff member, touch my mother's Mohs site with exam gloves. While I understand practices may believe that there is minimal increase in infection rates using exam gloves, you can't deny that there are more recalls on regular exam gloves, usually because of contaminants. At 92, my mom cannot afford to be on the wrong side of the statistic. I had hoped the Dr. would have returned so I could have expressed my concerns, but he did not. Calls to the office manager were not returned. This is factory medicine at best.

I'm at an age where I have a lot of previous sun exposure that is at risk for becoming skin cancer. Dr. McGuigan seems very thorough in doing the skin checks and she has an easy, pleasant manner. Their conversations are often loud enough for the waiting room to hear and frequently involve complaints or arguments. It's disappointing because it creates an unprofessional impression and takes away from an otherwise positive patient experience.
