Our lanai is complete. We didn't expect it finished before Memorial Day weekend. All that is left is final inspection from Polk County, happening tomorrow. The MD crew was unbelievable. My daughter recently purchased a home in Davenport . There is a small pond behind her house . And knowing that any body of water in Florida will occasionally have snakes and or gators . I wanted to get her back porch screened in . I live in Atlanta so I was worried because I had to do things over the phone . I called several places , no answer or no return calls . Sarah answered my call and I knew all would be taken care of . She walked me through the whole process as well as communicating with my daughter . Things could not have gone more smoothly ! We had a screen room added onto our concrete patio, and I love everything about it. The screens are large and sturdy, the room has withstood multiple tropical systems over the past few years, the concrete paint has lasted well, the roof and shade provide great protection from the sun, and I gained a favorite room! We installed a screen enclosure back in May and I can't say enough great things about our experience with MD Construction. Chris, the representative, is fantastic! He is patient and answered all of my questions (sometimes a couple of times). He was the last to give me a free quote after getting quotes from other guys. His price beat the others. Next, he walked us through the warranties and we signed a contract. We were told about a 6 week window and it was completed early. Megan helped us with the HOA and the crew that came out was great! Even the owner, Marcos, came out after final inspection to make sure everything was up to par. The whole process was far less disruptive than I expected and more than we could hope for! This contractor will take your deposit FAST but has BAD communication with it's customers, They are very slow in the construction process, when leaks or problems arose after payment, It was a nightmare getting them to come back fast. Our experience was awful with this company, like they took advantage of homeowner lack of knowledge and leave you hanging. We chose this contractor in January 2021 because of the positive reviews and the website pictures look great. I did read the negative complaints about this contractor not returning calls and I still took a chance and chose them out of five other estimates. A "Carlos" guy responded quickly to our phone calls instantly and gave us an in person estimate right away! This entire job was estimated at $25,000 to include pavers and a screened enclosure on top. MD Construction visited us and took all the measurements, prepared our contract real fast, and asked for a $7900 deposit to start and after that payment, we never ever heard from this contractor named Carlos again! For the first 5 months after we paid, no communication from MD Construction to keep us posted with any progress. The man (Carlos) that took our deposit and filled out our contract has never called us to this day September 8th, 2021, to inform us of anything or to even apologize for not responding to our texts, phone calls, voicemail and emails. I held back this review to hear an apology, but they added insult to injury by delaying my roof tiles and fixing the gutter a month further out!!! If you are relentless at calling these people, sometimes a female voice will respond in place of Carlos claiming to be a different person or department and they will get back to you on a Friday. I don't know what was going on over on their end, but as a customer I was very concerned and very upset at the lack of professionalism and courtesy to at least at a minimum, return phone calls promptly or to keep your paying customer informed at all times along the way! Absolutely no communication was made to inform us. The only way to get a phone call returned was if I blow up their voicemails, emails and text them. It took 2 months for them to file the application with my HOA! on April (2 months after I paid my deposit) I contacted my HOA to see if they approved my construction plans and they said that MD Construction has NOT submitted anything to them YET! Then after I blew up their phones, they called my wife and told her that they submitted the application to HOA. HOA said they received it April 16th, 2021, two months after they took my deposit! And they are sitting on my money and not getting anything done. My HOA approved the construction plans in 3 days and County Permits been ready! We have been very patient and understanding but they kept stalling our project and pushing our start date out another month to May 24th, 2021, because they say that they are really backed up with work. That is not fair to us because we are now going on 5 months waiting for these people to start this project and finally, they started on Memorial Day weekend removing sod and building the footer only. Then, a subcontractor that they sent to build the footer for them said they would be back on Tuesday June 1st, 2021, to start the pavers and no one showed up or delivered the pavers. So today 06/04/21 started to call all the phone numbers and emails I can find on their website and emailing again! A person named Megan calls promising that the pavers would be delivered the following Wednesday 06/09/2021 for sure with a verbal guarantee. Later today 06/04/2021 a different person from MD Construction named Sara calls and contradicts Megan saying they can't get the pavers until the 24th pushing me back almost another month to 06/24/21!!! I was told by MD that they ordered the wrong pavers for me!!! and it will take another month to get the correct pavers. SO, we ended up going with a different paver style to expedite this build. This project was finally finished in mid-August 202! And they took a month to come back and fix some roof leaks and add shingles and correct some structure issues that failed inspection with the county. MD Construction is just stalling you, and this job should not have taken all these months to complete. I am very disappointed, and I feel cheated and hurt and taken advantage of. We don't deserve this awful experience as first-time homeowners. If you can't complete a job in a timely manner, please don't take people's money and sit on it! Big THANKS to MD Construction LLC. From my initial call requesting a quote to enclose my patio I had a good feeling about using them and I was right. This experience has been more than pleasant. Luis, their representative came out to my home in just a couple of days was very knowledgeable, professional and courteous. He answered all of my questions and was very detailed and specific regarding all of the work that would be involved with adding additional concrete to what I had and building it up from the existing decline my backyard was built on. Luis was also very patient and provided me with all the information I needed upfront. He also provided his professional expertise in giving me suggestions to what the best options were for sizing based on what I was trying to achieve. MD Construction also submitted the HOA paper work for me, no hassle. I felt very confident in my decision with choosing MD Construction and I was not let down in anyway. Hi, We just wanted to let the owner(s) of the company know about our PHENOMENAL experience with Chris Kulick. We met with Chris about extending our lenai after meeting with Superior, White, and US Aluminum as well as Four Seasons Sunrooms. To say that Chris "blew us out of the water" with his integrity and presentation would be an understatement. In fact, we had already agreed to give MD the job BEFORE we even got a price - he was that good! Other than Four Seasons Sunrooms (who didn't even bother to send us a follow-up quote by the way) , Chris was only the second person to honestly say that a pitched lenai roof would leak given our current roof line, and we certainly didn't want problems in the future. However, unlike Four Seasons Sunrooms, Chris explained WHY it couldn't be done. Chris also took the time to thoroughly explain how it would be built, the quality of materials used, and offered very useful suggestions. He met with us twice to present and sign the contracts but also met with us a third and fourth time when we changed the design. We are 100% sure that we made a great choice in choosing MD Construction. Chris is certainly a GREAT ASSET to your company and the BEST person we've ever met when it comes to home renovation. My review is based upon their own advertising. They clearly have ALL of the Orlando area, extending way north of Apopka, etc., as their service area. They have this marked on several social media sites as well as their own. If you do not want to provide me with a quote in my area that you clearly service, then I advise that you remove said false advertising. In April we had MD Construction install a sun roof/cover on our screened in porch area. After a few weeks certain areas began leaking and the leaking became increasingly worse over time. We were assured by owner, Marcos, that the leaking would be fixed. However, it took until September (after numerous calls, texts, and unfulfilled promises) to get anyone back out to attempt to actually fix the leaks. This attempt was not successful, as the roof is still leaking in the same spots and Marcos is now not responding to our messages. We find the level of unprofessional behavior appalling and truly regret ever hiring MD Construction. read more

MD Construction completed two projects for our home: a lanai and a small front enclosure. Friends had used them to build their lanai, and after seeing their finished product, we contacted them for an estimate. We also got for one other company, who never followed through once we were given the quote.However, by that time, we knew MD was going to do the project as we had more confidence in Chris, the sales representative. MD took down the old lanai, dug up the old flagstone patio floor, put in a concrete floor that enlarged our room, and put up a lanai with screens on the side but a hard roof on the top.They also used some of the flagstone patio blocks to put in a 10 foot by 10 foot patio next to the finished room. initially we were told construction would begin in January 2017, but we were surprised and thrilled when they started construction in early December. Marcos and the people in the office were wonderful to deal with and responsive to all questions and concerns. The workers were professional, respectful of our property and us, and neat. When I asked to have the project done before company was coming mid January, they obliged and finished everything by working late two night, quite an accomplishment considering the holidays were in the middle of the project. The end result, including the small entrance screening, was beautiful. We had a small crack in the concrete floor, which was repaired within two days of our call. We just went through Hurricane Irma, and my main fear was losing our lanai. It held up beautifully. I highly recommend MD Construction. read more
