And tonight I ran across"Yelp" and the sky is the limit though listed there were no reviews posted.. That's alarming to me because i want to save others from just diving in without the real information on this.....hmmm....recovery house?!? (Which makes me now question the qualifications to be considered a "recovery house") not much apparently. Anyway I encourage you to stop and read the reviews which all seem to be on Google....read those before making any decisions. Be prepared and informed about what exactly you are getting your self into. Extremely toxic and very chaotic. And as you will see in the other reviews...some claim the exact opposite and swear it saved their lives.... idk very different experiences for some, all I want to do is attach the truth and share my experience, which is very similar to previous residents. Had it been referred to as a "rooming house" well I wouldn't have even submitted a review....but recovery....?? Not in any stretch of the imagination. And reporting false information to my probation officer simply because you didn't like my review, well that seems pretty extreme and completely unprofessional. Which seems to be a pattern there at the recovery house. In my past a call like that would have immediately triggered a violation.......i am happy to report that is no longer my situation. just by remaining sober and doing the next right thing , well it was obvious what was going on. I didn't receive any violation.....what i received was trust, support and encouragement. Probation has a complete different feel when you give yourself a chance. Thank you Jordon for making that report, I got to see how things turn out when I am sober and doing the next right thing.

In recent years the community center changed its name to Diversity Richmond, which I think better…read moreencompasses the work that is done here. Attached to the Diversity Thrift store, the center is a space for the greater Richmond community, of all sexual orientations, gender identifies, and faiths, to gather. As a nonprofit the space is donated for free to various events such as fundraisers, support groups, board meetings, play rehearsals, and worship services. It was the space where the community gathered for a vigil and memorial for the Pulse Nightclub victims in 2016, and will be hosting the inaugural Black Pride RVA this upcoming weekend. It also donates shoes and clothing to LGBTQ folks in need, particularly youth and those facing homelessness.
