Wow. My wife found this place last year, and it was so nice we had to.come back this year. They have a great selection of Christmas stuff, from trees to lights, to a decent selection of things you can put on your lawn. They also have a huge selection of mini Christmas villages for inside your house. All beautiful! They have nice ornaments and various other Christmas acutremonts. They also have a huge amount of real and fake trees. Most people come for their Christmas walk through. And its cheap! $7 for up to 5 people!!! Much better than most other places that charge $20 a person! I will say it is a bit small, but they have great decorations to view! It is done really well! Service is great! I just wish they were a hair more attentive when standing in line, apparently you just walk up to an open register instead of waiting in line to be called. You need to get tickets at the register!!!! Prices in general are pretty reasonable. This is a much nicer garden center than others that I have gone to. read more

McNaughton's is my go to plant and garden store. They have a greenhouse full of amazing plants that is so enjoyable to walk through. They also have a huge selection of outdoor plants, mulch, pots, stones, etc. Keep an eye out for McNaughton's special events - they host craft fairs here and the past few Christmas season's they've had an animatronic Christmas walk through. read more

This review is about their houseplants only. 3 stars for a bargain prices. HOWEVER you get what you pay for. I've found pests on every plant I've gotten there in the last 2 years. For me, I know what's easy to get rid of and what's not worth it, so I go back knowing I will need to fully clean and repot anything I get. Be warned, if you don't want the hassle go to Magnolia. McNaughton's is my favorite nursery by far and i give directions by nurseries. Very friendly and knowledgeable workers that take the time to talk plants! You can tell they love their jobs! If gardening and plant care was a course that could be taught, McNaughton's has an employee named Anthony there who could be the main professor. Contracting recommendations between employees - while one employee recommended I invest in certain plants for my garden, the other employee strongly suggested those plants would not survive my garden conditions. How can experts have such contracting recommendations? They also pride themselves of providing a 50% off for bushes that die within a year of purchase but do their very best not to abide by this. Very rude employee during my last visit (Mac? Michael?). I suggest spending your money elsewhere! read more

You can find pretty much anything here from: indoor plants, outdoor plants, shrubs, seeds accessories and theres so much stuff I want that I will NEVER show up without a game plan. All the houseplants were surrounded by gnats. The aroid greenhouse just felt dirty. Plus was overpriced on certain items. One strand of Monstera Swiss cheese for $39.98 absolutely not. And other plants are not labeled correctly. read more

I absolutely love this place! It's a kids Wonderland with all of the various decorated trees and the little tour that they offer. The staff couldn't be nicer... Especially Charlene. I will never go here strictly because the people they seem to hire. I was behind one of their Fords driving home in the snow today. We were waiting at a light and the car behind me beeped. The McNaughtons driver must have thought it was me because he started flailing his arms around and then gave me the middle finger. Then as we continued on the route he blatantly tried to break check me IN THE SNOW. Thank god I was driving carefully and have a new car that could handle the fast breaking in the snow. I don't care how well this business fares, I will go out of my way now to go elsewhere. I will also go out of my way to let people know about this situation. This is my new favorite place for shrubs, trees and perennials. The prices are reasonable, and selection is quite varied. McNaughton's is the BEST!! We wanted my 99 year-old grandmother to be in our wedding. She loves flowers and gardening very much. Her eyes and hearing were not what they once were but my partner and I wanted to give my grandmother an experience on our wedding day and McNaughton's helped in making that experience come true! We threw a 'flashmob' wedding in McNaughton's greenhouse so that my grandmother could be surrounded by flowers again and also could be a part of our wedding. It was truly magical for all of us and it is all thanks to McNaughton's and their willingness to share their wonderful space with us. My grandmother was smiling about the experience for days after, as were we. And many guests, including my grandmother went home with poinsettias. read more

I won't waste my time here again! When I arrived at 6:30 pm on 4/25/19, there was only one other car in the parking lot. The Web pop-up said that they were open until 8. I just saw on their Website that they were only open until 7, which could help to explain (but not excuse) how rudely I was treated. When I arrived, 3 employees were within 20 feet of me as I entered the garden area. One was so close that I could have touched her. Not one of them said hello, or made eye contact, and all 3 scattered in different directions. The closest one looked right through me as if I didn't exist. I stood near the entrance, waiting for someone to notice that I was clearly needing assistance, and point me toward the sun-loving perennials, but all 3 employees continued to ignore me, even though two continued doing nothing while the third one began to assist the only other customer. After about 5 or 6 minutes, I left. As I was driving away, I called them on my car phone and asked to speak to the manager. Someone named "Mike" said he was "one of the managers." When I told him what had happened, he said he was sorry and asked me to let him know if there was something he could do to help me in the future. He honestly didn't sound very interested in really helping me at all. He could have said, "How far away are you? If you come back right now, I will personally help you," but he didn't really offer anything other than a weak apology. Even if they were closing in 30 minutes, I would have only been there for about 15 minutes, at most, once I was directed to the plants I wanted. I've shopped there a couple of other times and found that the staff with whom I interacted knew next to nothing about plants. Also, the wait to check out was long, and one of the plants I purchased was infected with insects. I really like to shop locally when possible, but I'll be ordering from Burpee from now on. I've heard that their plants arrive in great shape and at the proper planting time. read more

We were criticized by a sales associate for using the wrong kind of cart, had to call the store while we were there to find someone to ring us up and after speaking to the manager about the rude sales associate he just shook his head and said it was like that every day! The Christmas Village costs $4 per person. It used to be free, at G-Boys. And the characters are showing their age. There should be a small donation to a local charity, or no charge for this very brief amusement. The staff is mostly friendly. There were pony rides and a carnival-like set up, in the back. What a tasty little treasure this place is! I love, love, love all the garden accessories at McNaughton's! Bring your BIG checkbook though, cause it ain't cheap! Seriously? $3500 for a patio set? I assume I'm in sticker shock because I don't live in Haddonfield where I presume folks are used to shelling-out-a-lot-more-money-than-they-have-to-for-something-that-would-be-expensive-at-half-the-cost-just-to-show-off-to-the-neighbors-and-feel-better-about-themselves-or-satisfy-some-childhood-pain-they're-still-trying-to-heal. But I'm not judgy like that. OK, so onto the plants...LOVE THEM! What I like so much about McN's (is it OK that I did that to your name?) is that it seems most of the plants are divided by shade and sun-loving. This is REALLY helpful to a novice gardener like myself who wants to establish a shade garden. And the fact that they have SO MANY shade-loving plants puts them at the top of my nursery list! OK, so I don't really have a "nursery list" but you get my point. I think I found and purchased 8 different varieties of ferns. Home Depot didn't have one! Not one! None! And, in comparison to H-D...well, wait a minute, I loves me some H-D but their nursery pretty much sucks unless you want very typical plants and not much variety. The layout of McN's is like strolling through a miniature Longwood Gardens. There are paths to follow that lead you through several landscaping ideas and uses for the plants they sell. Nice! The gentleman on duty caring for the plants was very informed about the plants and helpful in deciding what would be best to plant in our garden. Hmmm, I'm not sure what area Joanne is in, but here in Collingswood there aren't a lot of serious landscaping places. Tents at the 130 circle tend to have more product than some of the so called garden shops, but McNaughton's is the exception. From their extensive greenhouses to their large pond area, the selection is huge and beautiful. The greenhouses are huge and this year had some great items that I hadn't seen before, such as fresh curry plants and purple tomatillas. The papyrus and pond plants are great, and the Koi I purchased last year healthy and strong. It's not cheap, but nothing of quality ever is. They also sell beneficial insects early in the season (ladybugs, praying mantis), soil, fertilizers, pots, you name it. yes, there's a nice shop full of kitsch too, and near the holidays it is a wonderland (look for the Big Pink Tree). The staff is friendly and helpful, they have a frequent buyer's program, and checkout is quick. Delivery of large orders is available. read more

There are so many different landscaping businesses in this area so I never thought much of this one - as I didn't the others - until I visited McNaughton's. It is a beautifully kept store, inside and outside. A huge variety of every kind of shrub, tree, plant, flower, planters, grasses, garden sculptures and so much more. Surprisingly, inside is a full fledged store full of so many non-nursery items such as Christmas Villages, accessories, wreaths, trees, garland, lights, collectibles, etc. You name it they have it for the holidays and for the garden. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. Great place to visit around the holidays and of course if you're interested in landscaping for your house as well. read more

We visited McNaughton's looking for bushes for an empty space in our yard. Nobody offered to help us but a worker yelled across the yard that we needed to wear masks. We were at least 50 feet from the nearest non related person. Yes, a business has every right to have a mask policy but it should not be yelled across the space. Not going back. read more

This place is really bad. They sell plants that always die, work done on plants are really bad, and better qualified staff left there. This is the LEAST recommended place anyone would suggest. If you want great plants with wonderful service and honest work, go anywhere else BUT McNaughton's. We have never experienced bad service until we came to this place and we will never come back here again. read more

I stopped by McNaughtons yesterday to buy tomato plants at 5:45pm. I have 5 month old twins and after working all day, my wife and I packed up the car to McNaughtons. While in the parking lot at 5:45pm, I got both kids outside in the stroller and proceeded towards the plants. A worker ran outside to the parking lot to inform me that they were closed. There were other customers walking around inside/outside and my wife had just explained we only wanted tomato plants and we would be on our way. The worker insisted they were closed. We packed up our things and left to go down the street to their competitor who also closes at 6pm but were happy to have our business. Being a resident of the town, I will never return to this store because my business is not wanted. read more

The plants themselves are healthy, no sign of disease, rot, of infestation which is always important. I used to have a black thumb, and I'm fairly certain I still would if it weren't for McNaughton's. Was a first time home buyer and attempted to re-landscape our horrendous front lawn with Home Depot plants...fail. Everything died. (Bought one of those older houses in Cherry Hill where the front lawn had just gotten a few pine bushes and crappy grass...plus we get 12 straight hours of blazing sun in the summer, so that doesn't help) A neighbor saw my peril and suggested going to McNaughton's - definitely not cheap but over the past few years, I have been adding new plants throughout my entire yard and everything is resilient. They really know their stuff, so when you say, "the sun kinda comes in at this angle and the soil feels...I dunno...gritty" they can give you a very good suggestion of what to do. Also, if a fungus or bugs seem to be attacking your plants, bring in a leaf and someone will diagnose and suggest a treatment for you. Ordered 1 ton of landscaping rock to be delivered, which they did for a fee. Upon delivery I realized that 1 ton was actually not enough, and immediately called to see if i could have more delivered. The employee was less than helpful on working with me with the delivery charge. He said he would check with the manager. 20 seconds on hold was enough time to come back with a firm NO. Not asking for anything to be free, but when unique situations arrive a concession with delivery charge would've been the right gesture. The delivery charge ended up being almost more than the product, and I'm located less than 5 miles away, this a problem. The biggest problem, is they have lost me as a customer. Being self employed myself I understand that consumers make mistakes and helping them along the way will retain their business. There was no effort to do this on their part. read more

The staff is not very helpful. They are very grumpy. The place is only still in business because there is a lack of well stocked professional shurb and perennial nursery providers in the immediate area. There are plenty of annuals available in the area, and if this is what you want- then you will find cheaper elsewhere. The prices are mainly very high and they offer no guarantee. You can stake out the big box stores and do much better if your looking for shrubs- especially if you get them fresh from the nursery. If you want stone - some of the material is decent priced and some is WAY high. I found that the hardscape products are OK. The bagged materials are a little on the high side but generally reasonable. They do offer a wide selection of perrenials for the area and they have some rather hard to locate plants in stock... this the only benefit of shopping here. If you are a serious gardener you will locate some varities here that you might have to drive an hour or so into PA or very Southern to locate otherwise. read more

Their work is bad, I have weeds and and plants that I was told were burned from the winter. Their landscape guy Bob Ward is all worried about his new work not the one I paid over 10k for. They have no customer service. I suggest finding another place. read more
