But also kind of a co-op? I feel like an outsider in the world of private tennis clubs... I'm not really sure how it works exactly. It's different in that the guy who was a member had keys and access to the courts anytime. Payment is on an honor system since there was no one at the front desk to kick you off the courts right when you're time is up. I can't find any information online to confirm this since they don't have a website, but that's my impression as a first-timer. There are five courts and they are all in great shape, even though the building, lobby and facilities are very dated. The lobby has some seating, refreshments and whatnot. No-frills and it is very, very hot on the courts. If I lived closer, I might consider looking into a membership here for the wintertime. All-access is pretty awesome.

There are some rare members that, for various reasons, have the privilege of having keys to the club, which is what Annie D. noticed in her 6/25/12 review. This is the oldest indoor tennis club in the twin cities, so you have to be a little understanding that the facility, by modern standards, is fairly basic. I practically grew up on these courts decades ago, so it will always have a place in my heart. This club is about value. It is very inexpensive, both in terms of the annual membership fee, as well as the hourly court fees. The courts have some very slight dead spots here and there (a lot of people don't even know about them), and, depending on the weather conditions, a couple times per year there is condensation that will drip from the ceiling and form small puddles that need to be wiped here and there. Those are facts. Given its age, the place is in pretty good shape. It's not Lifetime Fitness, but the members are pretty happy, and there is a long wait list to join.

Basketball courts, tennis courts, and kid's playground. On the other side of the school is a large open grassy area for soccer or other sports, as well as a baseball diamond. There's a port-a-potty nearby too (seasonal, removed for winter). But my favorite feature by far is the wooded area nestled within the tree cover. It has four entrances and a branching path to each. The trail isn't terribly long (probably less than a mile, if I had to estimate), but it's quite gorgeous nonetheless and feels like an escape from the surrounding residential/commercial sprall. Some decent elevation changes, and the trail is somewhat narrow in some spots. There's a bench by the tiny lake if you need a break or just want to relax a bit. You'll see wildlife like cute squirrels leaping about. It's protected from the wind, so even on a chillier day, it's great for a short hike.

This is a beautiful park/trail system that meanders around a couple lakes while getting to see some…read morenice homes and yards. The trail is completely blacktop, no dirt, perfect for bikes. The reason that I stopped here is during the development of this area, I watched the trails and lakes being developed. I always wanted to check them out. As we were driving by, my dog started going crazy like when she gets excited for a nature walk, so my wife and i stopped and took a walk around for the first time. We went around both lakes, there is a bridge crossing between the 2 lakes. It is a couple miles around both lakes. My wife and I want to stop back. This trail system connects to Lake Community Park that you can also find on Facebook. I will check to see if it is on Yelp the next time. That is a good park to park your car at to go into walk/bike. Be sure to look at the photos i took. Very polite and friendly people walking around this lake/trail system.

Lifetime fitness' prices are ridiculously high and they keep getting higher. FYI - every time you…read moremake someone active or inactive they up your price to the new pricing. And when you ask if that is going to happen before you make any changes, they hide the fact that will happen. And when you inquire about that afterwards, they don't care that your price as increase. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Parents night out haas been awesome. Our kids love the pool and rock climbing walls, as well as the basketball court and turf. The gym is always clean and there is plenty of equipment. This place is a life saver in the winter when it's too cold to get out but our boys need to burn energy. The cafe is on the spendy side, so we don't eat there very often, but we all like the smoothies. The classes I've taken have been excellent. Child care is very good. It's nice that when I travel, I can use other lifetime facilities. For our family, lifetime has been a great investment! Tucked…read moreaway in a residential area not far from where we were staying, Mattocks Park was the ideal spot for us to kill a little time before checking in. It seems like a popular spot for a Thursday afternoon as there were several families enjoying the playground while a handful of individual patrons relaxed and played on the lawn. The trees were blossoming pink on one side of the park and were absolutely beautiful as a backdrop for a few quick laps. Would recommend for your next picnic or hammock day!
