After I finished, I found him to be empathetic and understanding as he took down additional notes and offered his advice on next steps. Every time I had questions, Liam was there with answers. All of them were on top of things and instrumental in keeping me informed throughout the process. Happily, my divorce came through in June 2026 and I now have a sense of peace and relief. I hired Liam Duffy to represent me in my custody/divorce proceedings and I could not have been more…read moresatisfied. From the start Liam wasn't just my attorney, he was my anchor. He let me vent, rant, and rave when I needed to, and never once made me feel like a burden. He always made me feel heard and validated, which was something I hadn't felt in a long time. Then, once I had the space to get it all out, he gave me the legal advice I actually needed... not just what I wanted to hear. That's what makes Liam stand out: he balances compassion with clarity. He never sugarcoated the truth, but I knew every move he made was with my best interests at heart. I trusted him completely, especially because he was able to talk me down from some impulsive ideas that, in hindsight, would've only made things worse for me and my children. He saw the big picture even when I couldn't and he never strayed from that picture. In court he was calm, sharp, and strategic. Watching him work was genuinely impressive. He knew exactly when to speak, when to hold back, and how to expose the truth without ever raising his voice. I'm proud of how he handled this case and I'm incredibly grateful Liam was the one guiding me through it. Liam is the real deal, a class act, and if you let him lead you'll be glad you did. Thanks again Liam, I couldn't have been happier with the outcome.

Since the beginning, he has been honest, knowledgeable, and very clear with the issue, potential risk, and expected outcome. After I finished the paperworks, he completely handled everything and filed all required documents. While I was away on vacation, he represented me for the court conference and emailed me the great news: even at a tough court, he was able to reduce a 6-point ticket down to a parking violation with no points and no impact on my driving record and insurance. This result is definitely way better than what we expected. Mr. Shelton made the whole process simple with no stress. The tickets carried 2 points each, and the fines were $330-$800. In our consult, Richard said he would get two tickets dropped, and the third ticket amended to no points. He cautioned me that the prosecutor will give me a higher fine to drop the ticket. I was excited at the prospect so I hired him on the spot. I didn't speak to him again until the day before the court appearance. He informed me that he was able to get one ticket dropped, but there would be no points on my record. I'll admit I was disappointed that I had to plead guilty to two tickets, but I was still very grateful for no points. On the day of the court appearance, it was another attorney that I never spoke to before. He spoke with the prosecutor just before court began. I pled guilty and had to pay $230 in fines. Considering the $450 surcharge for 6 points & fines over $400, it was worth it to hire an attorney. Admittedly, I could have spoken with the prosecutor and negotiated a plea before seeing the judge. However, I wasn't willing to take that risk! Overall, I was pretty satisfied & hopeful that I'll never be in traffic court again.
