He is extremely rude, unresponsive, evasive and an extremely poor communicator. Despite calling his office three times, he never returned any of my calls. Since I didn't have any success in getting a return call or email from him despite leaving my phone number and email with his office, I had to obtain his email address from his secretary and then repeatedly follow up in order to get responses when I emailed him. IT TOOK HIM EIGHT DAYS TO CONTACT ME FROM THE FIRST TIME THAT I CALLED HIS OFFICE ON JULY 21st! I emailed him on August 5th with five case-related issues and specifically requested written answers before we talked on the phone since it would make our phone conversation go a lot smoother, but unfortunately, he repeatedly ignored my request. I HAD TO EMAIL HIM FOUR TIMES TO FINALLY GET HIM TO RESPOND TO MY FIVE CASE-RELATED ISSUES, and he was extremely evasive, as three of his answers had nothing at all to do with what I asked! It is extremely obvious that he is reluctant to put things in writing. He blamed the almost one week delay in answering my questions on the fact that he was out of town, but he had not even set up an automatic reply to let myself and others know that he was out of town and when he would be returning, which was completely unprofessional and rude on his part. On August 12th, I asked him what his fee would be. He stated that his fee is $15,000 to the Superior Court with $7500 as the first payment and $500 a month thereafter. I COULDN'T BELIEVE THAT HE DIDN'T EVEN KNOW THE CORRECT COURT FOR MY CASE, AS MY CASE IS WITH THE COMMONWEALTH COURT, NOT THE SUPERIOR COURT! I repeatedly asked him to schedule a phone conversation which he promised he would do, but he never followed through, and I told him that this wasn't right and that he was completely dishonest. On August 13th, when I asked him for a separate quote to ONLY write a legal document called the 1925(b) Statement just in case my case settled without court appearances, he completely ignored my question and repeated the same $15,000 fee despite my clear explanation that I only wanted a quote for writing the 1925(b) Statement. This evasive response in which he prioritized securing $15,000 over my right to transparent fees and an informed choice made it obvious that he was trying to rip me off by still charging me $15,000 even though there would be substantially less legal work involved. Hoping that he would finally answer me, I once again requested a separate quote for ONLY the 1925(b) Statement, and I also asked him why he mentioned an appeal to Superior Court when my case didn't even involve an appeal there. When he replied on August 13th, which was JUST FIVE DAYS BEFORE MY FILING DEADLINE for the 1925(b) Statement, he abruptly stated that he was not interested in my matter and wished me the best of luck in finding another attorney, leaving my questions unanswered and forcing me to seek another attorney under SIGNIFICANT TIME PRESSURE. I strongly recommend seeking another attorney who demonstrates professionalism and treats people with respect, qualities which I did not experience with Attorney Zeiger.
