The Sea Glass Festival started on Friday night with the Mermaid Ball. We did not attend the ball,…read morebut admired the attendees as they made their way to the event dressed for the occasion. Also, many of the businesses participated with mermaid sculptures in honor of the festival, it was fun to walk through town and see the different mermaid versions. Our participation started at the 10:00 am opening on Saturday. Quite a turn out! A huge tent full of vendors; I immediately found a necklace I loved, bought it, made the rounds, and then went back to the vendor I bought the necklace from to buy a pair of earrings. We then checked out the food and music tent, where they sold beer, wine, Ruddell's amazing fish tacos, and pulled pork sandwiches. Outside the tent they had a pizza vendor selling pizza which looked pretty tasty. There was artwork for sale in the tent; some of it from students at the local school. There was even an area where you could get your photo taken with beautiful "live" mermaids! We went back late in the afternoon, and had a great time listening and dancing to the music of Burning James and the Funky Flames. We stayed through the very last song. Made for a very fun day!

Been there. Done that. I love Cayucos, it's my go-to place on the central coast, but I definitely…read morewon't stay there on that weekend again. Wall to wall people. No parking. A wait to get in and you have to pay to see what the vendors are selling. No photos allowed in the tent, so if you want to remember something, commit it to memory! People are three deep inside so it's difficult to even view the wares. Love sea glass? Go walk the beaches. I have found something with every single visit to the area! Just look when the tide goes out!

My family enjoyed walking around and spent more time in this shop than we thought we would, just perusing and trying to find our way through every twist and turn! The only dislike we had with the store is that the lighting was not that great, and nothing is organized very well. Given that it is the size of a small department store, I kind of wish that it would be organized as such -- for example, dishes and housewares, clothes and accessories, music, etc. instead of all categories spread out from top to bottom! If we ever return to Cayucos, we plan on stopping here again because there is so much to see.

All these cute vintage shops. Right when you walk in, the whole experience is just a hop skip away…read more This whole little city is a vintage shop Mecca. There's three different floors of treasure to be found. Main floor has literally everything. Seems to entice you with what they have to offer. Going up the stairs, there's different rooms that caters to different types. You could walk into a sections that has toys from all eras of life. Some collectibles while some seem a bit creepy. Just in my opinion. It wraps around so there's so much things to look at. The two top floors seem to have more apparel's. Loads of vintage clothing, footwear and accessories. Just going from one section to the other, you're coming into treasures. There were loads of clothing that looked amazing but just like any vintage shop. The sizing varies. It's a hit or miss when it comes to apparel. Regardless, this place had loads of amazing fun vintage items. Clothing, accessories, shows, toys, even things you didn't know existed, they had. A fun store that's worth wandering around. I'm sure you'll find some amazing pieces that you didn't know you needed.
