Always check expiration dates, because there are often products past their date on the shelf. They do take returns if you realize that you bought something expired, just show them your receipt to prove it was already past the date when you purchased it. There's no scale to weigh produce, and you have to watch carefully at the register, because sometimes the scale might not be correctly calibrated, or there might be something leaning on it. I was once charged for four times the weight of produce I purchased, but luckily I noticed, went back, had a different register reweigh the items, and they processed the return minus the correct charge of the items. It's definitely inconvenient to have to be so vigilant when all I want to do is pay the listed price for groceries that aren't expired, but at least they correct their mistakes on a case by case basis. It's a good choice for coffee, snacks, but also fennel, vegan food, kimchi, or eucalyptus cuttings (and, like many small grocery stores, some things are better deals than others). Mrs. Lee refused to accept the return. She referred to a sign that read, plants are not returnable. That particular sign was displayed at at the back of the plant section, on a high shelf. Interestingly enough, at the cash register, there is a sign that states, "Refund policy provided within 2 days receipt." It is mandatory for stores to visibly display their return policy at the cash register. 'The Bad Wife' failed to do so. Mrs. Lee's attitude was rude and dismissive despite being told return policies must be clearly visible by the cash register.

They ALSO have loads of ready made meals - pizza, pastas, fresh salads, soups, sushi, a mini patisserie, bakery (including cakes, bagels of diff flavors, fresh pretzels etc), cheese bar (with every kind of cheese you can think of, both local and imported from around the world). They offer a wide range of organic juices and international lunch foods to pack and go. The shop is always immaculate and the products are never dusty/expired. The customer service here is amazing - employees are super nice and extremely attentive, and even when DoorDash screwed up my order, they went out of their way to repack it and use one of their own guys to deliver it to me so I wouldn't have to deal with the frustration of Whenever there is a hard to find product that comes to mind, I know FGM is going to carry it. Is it more expensive? Yes. But that's because the produce is fresher, tastes better, is healthier, and there is a huge variety of local products coming from smaller farms and smaller companies (which equals a higher price).
