It was $550. 4) they knew the pad for the unit was not level, Josh the sales man, said we will level the unit. They didn't LEVEL THE PAD. now water runs back to our foundation and under our house. We placed a service call with the after-hours service I did follow up with the local office the next morning. Courtney had already seen the scheduled appointment for the next day and moved it to an earlier time slot. Connor arrived the next day even earlier than the scheduled time. We were impressed and pleased with the service we received from Connor. He is an exceptionally professional young man and very well educated in the HVAC industry. The central AC unit does only that room (about 450 sf) and had been serviced recently. It was 21 years old, the same age as the house. I posted a request for good HVAC firms on FaceBook. The one I had been using had quoted over $7000 for a 1.5 ton unit and coil. TIME FOR A SECOND QUOTE. I got over a dozen recommendations on FB, made 3 calls and had 2 quotes by that evening. Both were thousands lower than Carolina Heating, the incumbent. But here's where HIS distinguished themselves from the rest. They said they could have the unit installed the NEXT DAY. The heat index was 100 so I opted for them over the other firm, who could get it done the following week. The crew of 2 and the supervisor, Brandan, showed up promptly at 830AM. The work they did was fast, quality and clean. By 3 PM my office was beginning to get cooler and as I sit here now it's right at the setpoint of 75F. Thanks to Brent Stokes for a timely recommendation as he had work done by HIS just a week or 2 prior and raved about them. (I wanted to see their exact measurements and pressure test stats) They could not find the air flow problem for months and kept blaming the the issues on imported parts and the energy company for high bills. Other companies had to come fix several of their mistakes on the duct work job and the unit installation from a few years ago. They also installed an electrical panel and moved breakers without getting a permit.

After reading reviews decided to call One Hour Heating and Air Greenville office, spoke to Christa and she had someone scheduled to come out within two hours. For a day with temps in the upper 90s and with classes beginning the next day that was a phenomenal answer! Mike Lamb came at the appointed time, sent photos, gave me a detailed explanation over the phone and went right to work getting our tenants taken care of. Super helpful since I was in a different city. I highly recommend One Hour Heating and Air Greenville and thank them for saving the day.

A technician comes out twice a year and does preventative maintenance and prepares my system for the winter and for the summer. I had been paying for years with a direct debit. In May 2026 for some reason the payment didn't post properly, I'd had some kind of hack on an account, so when I got the email on Monday morning I called them and gave them new card information. Then the old card posted and the new card posted at the same time, so the hack was never an issue. I called and had a hard time getting to someone and their book keeper/ finance person seemed to be on a phone in a car at the time. I explained again what happened and she said she could fix that. Later, on Tuesday or Wednesday, she called and explained that I had been charged twice, I asked for a refund of the extra fee. She assured me she could fix it easily without a refund. She would cancel my monthly service. The fee for May was paid, and she would just easily cancel my my monthly subscription, post the extra payment to my June payment, and then someone would contact me in July to set up the payments all over again and voila! it would be all caught up and fixed. No one called me. Now I don't have the monthly subscription, I don't have the maintenance service, and I don't have anyone that I can depend on at One-Hour Service who can do what they say they will do.

On top of that, they never performed a Manual J calculation, which is standard and critical to properly size an HVAC system. This felt misleading and scammy. I strongly suggest that anyone considering doing business with them do their researchfirst -- their prices are far higher than comparable options elsewhere.
