We were referred to Kilowatt Electric by Kohler Generator, seems he covers Sullivan County, NY…read more Along with several other electricians we received estimates. Started our generator project on May 5th by choosing Kilowatt Electric for Kohler generators. Paid 75% of costs on May 5th for a June 18th installation, about a 6 week wait for delivery & installation. As of August 22nd we still did't have an operational generator, it was installed on July 31st. Without the code that kohler provides to the installing electrician/authorized dealer it's not operational. We are now about 13k into the project and 16 weeks since initial deposit. Very disappointed. Received code on August 26th, generator is operational. Jourdan still has follow up work to complete.

He said he was a real nice guy but we can't get the paperwork from him for our permit. It's been weeks upon weeks of "I've been busy" or "I'll email it".. he did check in once to see if we got the email and I let him know we did not and supplied him with an alternate email and suggested he even snapshot and text it .. that was days ago and still zero response. He got paid at time of service, so I can't figure out what is the issue with getting the paperwork.. I will take this down when he does the right thing but for now, working with him if you need anything in writing is not a good idea .. or even just getting in contact with him, not a simple task

As it turns out, there was something weird about the original wiring of the house that prevented the newly-installed thermostats from sending their signals to the oil burner and we only realized it once the weather turned cold and the heating wasn't working.
