This place cops a bad rap for the appallingly rude staff - and this true. The little old lady is the nicest, but the two younger ladies often have a bit of attitude. The best thing you can do on the weekend is come in early on Saturday or Sunday and buy a big bunch of their sandwich rolls - they'll still be hot. Of course you can get all your other bread-related products (loafs, etc), but I go for the rolls every time. My favourites are the hot chicken rolls (made on the spot, Vietnamese style) and the vanilla slice (with passion-fruit icing). The lamingtons are quite respectable too.
