He uses a combination of drop table and diversified techniques. He can also use the activator method if you prefer that. They all are very friendly, and Dr. Ron always tries to fit you in even if you don't have an appointment. I like to use the online booking feature of the website and book my preferred dates and times a few months ahead of time. There is even free covered parking. I have family members that also see them and don't hesitate to refer friends and colleagues to this clinic.

He took the time to conduct a verbal assessment and asked questions before treatment. Not only did it feel therapeutic to be fully listened to, he didn't jump to conclusions. Since I told him how forgetful I am, he offered to send me an electronic cheat sheet which I can always refer to after the appointment. As a result, I was able to focus on the techniques, rather than jogging down notes I probably cannot read after (ha!). I'm happy to report that I'm advancing on my strengthing exercises for my core/glutes since my injury a month ago. The clinic gets pretty busy after 5 pm when people get off work. The receptionist is very nice and works hard to shorten the line, but expect a short wait as their debit/credit card machine is kinda slow. A big bonus for this location as they validate your parking and reimburse you with ca$h.

You know you are in good hands right away. He also gives such easy but effective exercises that WORK! I really like the assistants there too, they are very friendly and help ease pain. My 10 year old loves this place and feels so special every time she visits. The bonus is they don't have a user fee whatsoever.This clinic is the only one in Burnaby that does not charge a user fee. The parking fee in the parking lot is also reimbursed by the clinic upon presentation of the parking ticket - can't get better than that. I would never go anywhere else.

Suffice to say, with the work he's done and exercises + stretches he's given me, I'm confident I can reach my time goal for an upcoming half marathon. I've also seen Keane, Mitch and Partiba and all are wonderful and extremely knowledgeable practitioners. I myself have started going for my neck and shoulder. Andrew Taylor one of the physiotherapists there is great! I highly recommend him. He has a lot of knowledge, he listens and does a lot of manual therapy (ie not just puts a machine on you, gives you stretches and exercise and leaves you be). He does a good combination of everything and has a lot of techniques, he uses muscle release, ultrasound, joint mobilizations, manipulations and even acupuncture. He doesn't specialize in it, another physio in the clinic does . but they do offer assessment and treatment for mechanical vertigo and dizziness which not all clinics have. The price is decent and standard as any physio clinic. Acupuncture costs $5 more per session but can be integrated in so you don't need a separate appt or anything. I needed a note for my work he happily provided an update at no charge which I know some places can charge a lot for sometimes. Its located convinienty in Burnaby. Across from bonsor community center so only a 5-10min walk from metrotown skytrain. You can walk through the mall and exit the foot court near the Disney store and that will get you pretty close. The 106 bus on kingsway is right outside. They validate parking as well if you give them your receipt. Andrew takes appointments after work hours which is perfect for my schedule.

I arrived on time and was led in... oh, but the exam room is so small my walker does not fit. Even the physio had a hard time getting around the exam table to measure my leg range of motion and she was pretty petite. so... I was there 45 minutes of an hour appointment. We walked up and down the hall and she had some thoughts on some exercises to start with. But.. for the most part I listened to her complain about our medical system. I heard that I should have stayed overnight... not sure why because it is pretty common to be home the same day unless you have an issue. I heard all about the wonderful things she has done. I left there with not much new info and while I made a future appointment when I left I cancelled as soon as I got home. So $125 for only 45 minutes of an hour appointment. I do have coverage so did not pay full rate. Cons - the space is too small and cramped the physio was not helpful at all, I could not wait to get out I only got 45 minutes and most of that was listening to complaints. Pros - I was in there fast. I am now happy at White Rock Orthopaedic & Sports Physiotherapy Clinic where I pay a reduced seniors rate and am never there for less than 90 minutes.
