We've used them several times dating back to 2018. All for trips to O'Hare and back home. Drivers have been polite. Picked us up on time both at home and for our return from O'Hare. This past weekend the airline industry had a melt down. Massive delays and cancellations due to mechanical, technical and weather related issues. Our flight back to O'Hare was not excluded. We were supposed to be back to Chicago by 7:00 PM Saturday evening. We finally got in at 1:00 AM Sunday morning. Once on the ground and I got my phone turned back on, I had voice mail from our driver checking to see if we still needed a ride. In fact, he took it upon himself to head to O'Hare anyway. I returned call. Told him we did. He was about 40 minutes out. Which frankly wasn't an issue since we were taxiing when I called. By the time we deplaned. Got to limo pickup, he pulled up about 10 minutes later. read more

Where second chances go to die. Take the money you would waste with McH Limo who has no customer focus and spend it having a friend drive you. A few months ago, we had our flight cancelled and then, without a call or notice, McH Limo canceled us. We were left at O'Hare after our next flight home with "no cars available, sorry". Giving them a second chance, I scheduled another ride. This past weekend, we were told our driver would be 15 minutes late via email, not a huge deal. At 20 minutes and still no driver, I called to get an update. "I'll call the driver and call you back." Waited, no driver, no call, so we called again. "Sorry we were giving the driver directions." And no update on when they would arrive. Forget about I'll just drive us. "Okay". Post these mishaps - no followup, no calls.. They simply don't care. I used this service back in August of 2016 for my wedding. Wayne, our limo driver, is now the butt of my family's inside joke after he decided that the $20 bill I handed him wasn't a good enough tip. I was only 22 at the time so instead of just telling him to leave, I had my bridesmaids ask random passers-by for cash until we had amassed enough to give Wayne a "sufficient" tip. I was so embarrassed I was crying, and Wayne just stood there with his hand out until we had scrounged up 8 more dollars. I ruined my wedding make-up, and my first look photos with my husband did not turn out well as you can tell that my eyes are red and puffy (definitely not happy tears). If this had happened to be now, as a 26 year old, I would not have allowed it to go down the way it did, but I was young and inexperienced and too polite to tell him to go away. Anyway, Wayne will forever be remember in my family as the person who single-handedly ruined my wedding day, and I definitely will never use them again. read more

My only reason for not giving a five star rating, is because when my wife arrived at her destination, the driver did not get ut of the car to open the door for her. Loved Mchenry Limousine, they have great prices and great service! I was taking my Dad to see Black Sabbath at the United Center on 1/22/16 and neither of us wanted to drive from Mchenry, there and back. So I called up Mchenry Limousine and got my price quote which was more then reasonable. I went into their office on new years day and paid for their services. Now I thought I was paying for a town car, you know nothing huge or flashy for the price I paid. Day of the concert comes around, our driver arrives on time in a stretch limo! Needless to say I was so excited to be taking my dad to see his favorite band in an actual Limo! Our Limo driver introduced himself, his name was Steve. I highly recommend him! He was extremely polite, funny, talkative - but just the right amount of talkative, and most of all a great driver! Of course his Limo was very nice too, very clean! We got to the United Center on time for dad and I to buy some things. After the concert was over, we walked a block to where he said he'd be parked (since I didn't buy a parking pass) and we were on our way home! I would avoid using this service in the future. The drivers are nice and personable, but the cars are out dated and not very comfortable. They have been late picking me up on multiple occasions. I would use GNT. read more

I've used this company for three years to go from my home in northern Lake County to O'Hare. I use them 10-15 times a year. They are always on time for pick up enroute to the airport, drive newer cars, price fairly and are polite. I usually do a shared ride, but give yourself 2.5 hours before flight time and book 5-7 days in advance. They are not quick about airport pickup for your ride home, so be prepared to wait. If you have a 3 day or longer trip you'll be ahead on cost compared to garage parking at O'Hare. They are a good business, but not great. read more

Oh, I have a complaint now! Simply put, this is a small fleet. The past few times I've needed a ride to the airport McHenry hasn't been able to deliver. I've been offered shared rides which were too early or too late for what I needed. It's really too bad, but if a service isn't available then it's strictly average to me. Hence 3 stars. read more

Our company used these guys and we found that they had changed the tip from $20 to $120! We are in the process of fighting the charge but we will never use them again. When confronted they blamed our employee for not checking the receipt, but he was never given one. Apparently they are used to big tips which is why they did not question a $120 tip on a $100 fare. I asked if they thought it strange but they said "no we get that from customers". I told him I would think you would want to verify with a new customer if they might have made a mistake just to be sure. The guy I spoke with did not see a need to confirm it so we will no longer use or recommend McHenry Limo. read more

I used McHenry Limousine for wedding transportation and was very pleased with the service! They were very responsive on the phone - I think I probably called them 3 or 4 times before I actually settled on the timing for everything, and they were always very kind and helpful. Our driver was punctual and polite. We were able to stop at another location in between the ceremony and reception to take pictures, which was greatly appreciated. I talked with a couple other companies while researching transportation and felt McHenry Limousine gave us the best value. There were only 8 of us total in the wedding party and a lot of places seemed to want us to take larger (and more expensive) vehicles despite our smaller size. McHenry Limo had a car that seated 9, so it was perfect for us! Would recommend them and use them again. read more

When strictly requesting an actual stretch limo for my trip to o'hare and I was greeted with a dirty regular 300c. We had to get drunk in back of this stank ride while the driver got to listen to our conversations about how shitty this limousine company is. I guess if we actually got a stretch Limo like we ordered, I'd give this company a couple stars, but we got a regular car instead. After telling the driver that we were displeased with car he reassured us that there would be a stretch to pick us up on our return. We even called the office to make we got a stretch Limo on our return from ohare and strictly told these office tards that they messed up getting us there and that they needed to fix the situation by getting a stretch Limo for the ride home. We were greeted by the same 300c car. I would rather walk to Ohare next time, than use this shit company. Complete garbage company, they need to close their doors, throw in the towel, call it quits, done. You're a limousine company, how can you mess up sending a stretch Limo or a regular car? I have used this service for the last 10 + years. Even though they have been more expensive than other limo companies I have continued to use them because they have picked me up at the requested time to get me to the airport for my flights. The drivers have all been courteous. However I noticed they did not give me a receipt on one of my last trips. I have called 3 times over the last month and sent management an email. They have still not responded. Management obviously does not care. I will not use this company again. read more

Yep, I know it's been 3.5 years but I'm still miffed about this, and felt it important to update that the woman driver we had (who I did not name by name) felt it was appropriate to send me a direct message via Yelp completely berating me and my review, claiming I was a liar, and proceeded to tell me that she thought our marriage wouldn't last because we did a first look (and had the audacity to say to me "the next time you get married..."). Real classy move. Additionally, some Yelp user who still has submitted zero reviews and had just created an account sent me a 'compliment' calling me a snob right around the same time as I received the message from her (yeah, super snobby to write an accurate review of awful and rude service). I don't check my Yelp profile regularly so I literally just saw this today, hence this update. Not really fooling anyone that whoever that gentleman was clearly was a friend or partner of hers. Last Christmas we reserved a car. When they pulled up it was a full blown 1/2 block long stretch limo. They were out of cars. Not only happy, but was giddy all night. Received a quote from Christine for service to Midway and also p/u from Midway back home after our trip, called to make the reservation and was told the pricing that i received was for Ohare and not Midway. Why would i ask to be driven to Ohare when i told her that we were leaving from Midway and we are flying Southwest, everyone knows that Southwest does not fly out of Ohare. The difference in cost was an additional $30 on the way there and $42 for the ride home. Will never use them again. read more

We had a party of seven, each with 29" luggage. We asked for a larger SUV super stretch to accommodate us, and the luggage, comfortably, as we knew it would not fit in their standard Lincoln limo (Teagan). We also had two pickup points. They sent Teagan, and had no record of the second address we gave them, even though they confirmed it during the reservation call. We ended up crowded in the car, with two of the pieces of luggage in our laps. The driver was apologetic, and said he would make sure to correct this on our return trip. Nope. Teagan, once again. When we asked Wayne, the driver, why the requested larger limo wasn't sent, he informed us that they only have a 12-passenger limo, and that they don't bring it to the airport! This is not what their website information states, and it was not communicated to us when we again asked for the larger limo once we called after arriving at O'Hara at 10pm, with three tired children. If you aren't able to accommodate the customer's request, don't lie just to get the business, especially twice! We will be looking for a more upfront business for our next trip. All we were doing was attempting to use a local business. It's a shame that this happened. Hopefully it doesn't happen to anyone else. read more
