As part of the effort to get my friend up to the Milwaukee Rescue Mission I had to contact taxi services and find one which could bring my friend from Gurnee up to Milwaukee while meeting my expectations. It was challenging. After a few uncommon conversations with some local taxi services I was getting a little concern. I then found Northern American Taxi. I called Marianna and described my unique situation. She liked the idea of helping a homeless person and we proceeded to arrange the ride for my friend. When my friend arrived at the Milwaukee Rescue Mission, he called telling me he had a great ride and good time chatting with Marianna. In addition Marianna also made a nice contribution to PADS, the Chicago area homeless program. During this current time we need special people. Marianna not only provided a great service, she showed heart and honor helping an organization focus on helping the less fortunate.

Three days before the wedding, my wife sent a text to confirm the reservation and received no response. I then called Cindy the day before the wedding and also received no response. When midnight arrived, no driver showed up. I called the number provided and spoke with a man who stated, "I am in Milwaukee, you are out of luck," and then hung up on me. This was one of the most disappointing customer service experiences I have ever had. Not only was our reservation not honored, but there was also no communication and no effort made to assist us when we were stranded. I would strongly caution anyone considering this company's services. If this is how they treat one customer, it could easily happen to others. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

This insurance they sold me did not cover things the Apple insurance did. Apple Vacations told me that if I had their insurance, the trip would have been refunded immediately, in full. Because of the insurance they forged for me, I had to fight with everything to get my money back, they did absolutely nothing to help. The founder of Apple Vacations actually fought by my side to get my money back from the agency because the CL Travel owners, the Dougherty's, basically told me there was nothing they could do! So I was just supposed to eat the $5K I spent with them. I haven't used them since. I decided to try them again a few weeks ago after finding the Dougherty's were no longer involved. Another crap experience. I went in and told them what I was looking for but no one the receptionist asked wanted to work with me on this trip. They then put me with an older woman who had zero interest in my trip but went thru the paces to take my info. She could not have been less interested and it showed. I sat there, silently, as she typed in her computer, not asking much about the trip but doing something on her computer (solitaire?). She then said she would get back to me by email with what she found on the trip I was looking to go on. Being a big, pricey trip, I thought they might be a bit more helpful. It has been over 2 weeks and I received 1 email with minimal info for one small part of the trip, nothing else. IMHO, this agency is awful, avoid dealing with these people. I have talked to other agencies since and they have all been very excited about my trip, asking detailed questions and have put together fantastic itineraries. The difference is night and day. I am not sure how they stay in business if this is how they treat potential customers.
