Someone picked up the phone and said, "Skon Chiropractic," and I said, "Dr. Skon, is that you?" and that person hung up. I called right back, and no one picked up the phone. They have caller ID because he's called me back before if he had a client and missed a call. Not sure what happened, but it left me not wanting to do business here anymore. We found my wife another chiropractor to go to, and she was okay, but had to wait a day because of this fiasco. I will not return, and it's sad to see a place that had so much potential treat their past clients like this.

Sometimes I've tried to be a "real man" and put it off for a couple of weeks and lived to regret it and really had a problem. A weight was lifted off my shoulders... Quite literally!…read more Toftoy Chiro was my first chiropractic experience and it was a great one. Jon Toftoy (owner and doctor) was a joy to work with. I was definitely nervous (this being my first time) and he explained every detail of the appointment to help me feel at home. He asked before he made any adjustments to make sure I was comfortable, which calmed me. He not only took interest in adjusting me, he also took the care to address concerns of nutrition and exercise. His approach is very holistic. I highly recommend this new Twin Cities practice! I can't imagine a better first experience and a more caring doctor. Not to mention, my back, neck and shoulders feel great. Toftoy Chiro made me a believer.

At 8:30pm one night I decided that it was starting to become unbearable and make me irritable, so I looked up chiropractors near my house. Toftoy Chiro offered text message appointment scheduling, so I messaged Dr. Jon and he told me I could come in 7:30am the next morning! The appointment was great and he really took his time to explain things; I really liked Dr. Jon and enjoyed the experience. I will definitely go back if the symptoms come back! The reason I gave Toftoy Chiro four out of five stars is because the location is inside a endurance work out facility, which came along with some noise. I was also a bit confused how to go about processing the insurance side of things because usually the providers make copies of the cards and do the billing/processing for the patient, which Dr. Jon didn't do. These things won't keep me from going back though!

It could be any combination of reasons, really... TMJ, harsh dental work, whiplash from a car accident, bad posture, typing at a desk all day, all of the above... I've seen specialists and gotten X-rays and an MRI and have pretty much given up on the finding one isolated cause. I pretty much just dedicate my paychecks to weekly massages and random massager crap that I get suckered into from instagram ads (every time!). I've been skeptical and hesitant and chiropractors and acupuncture, but I decided to finally give it another shot. Dr. Lori is sweet and friendly and doesn't seem like she's pulling my leg, unless she's literally pulling my leg (I love those stretches / spinal decompression). Next thing you know, I got readjusted, stretched, cupping, and acupuncture all on my first visit. A couple hours later, I realized that all of my usual tightness was relieved! I could feel the difference, especially in my shoulders which are used to be bulky and tight. I also haven't had the need to take tylenol for tension headaches I used to frequently get. I've of course been back, and I think I find the most relief with adjustments, stretching/decompressing, and acupuncture. Blesss.

I, like so many, had become dependent on pain medications and fell victim to the "current" medical theories with regards to treatment for injuries and pain. I had had a bad experience with a previous chiropractor in that they lacked certain care and procedures that Dr. Hermen provided. Dr. Hermen approached me with timely consideration and with a focus on healing. Now I am a stubborn person and not easily swayed to methods and things I am unfamiliar with. She was consistent in her handling of me and treated my misgivings with respect and gently moved me to the place I needed to be to heal. After some initial work and evaluation, she started me on the laser therapy. First for the pain relief, and then continually after that for healing those injuries and trauma. This treatment was incredible from the beginning. I can now do things I could not do previously. I am far more active than I have been in years, and I am pain free from what she initially treated me for.
