went to Koztello's in the Galway shopping center having booked online for a root color (43e) and 10…read morehighlights (29e)with no cut or other services requested, I have never been here before, I was placed with Grainne who suggested a full head of highlights which I declined and said to proceed with just the original plan and the main reason I was there was to cover my roots. I was offered a treatment that would also reduce the damage I accepted this. Fast forward a few hours later and my hair looked the exact same with no difference I still had roots. I went to pay and was given a bill for 163e when I questioned how this added up I was told I was actually given a T bar highlights and it should have actually cost 183e. When I asked why this wasn't told to me that the price hike from what I booked online would be so much I was told that the hairdressers only deal with hair not the money side of things. I was given a contact number for the manager Sarah and told to call her on Monday I gave three calls and left voice messages and an email and that is over 10 days ago now with no response. To add to this when I went home my scalp was out in angry red bumps and my hair is so dry after all the highlights I received that I did not even ask for the reason been only getting 10 to reduce this damage that my hair likely needs to be chopped up. I would highly recommend avoiding this hair salon trend unless you want to pay nearly 200e to look the same except with damaged hair. I'm not usually one to rate bad service but when no one came back to me via email or phone I was left with no choice.

We were told it would cost us 10 euro to get in for three quarters of an hour. We found out tickets to get in cost 7 euro for 3 hrs dancing. Several people who saw us coming were very curious to know how much she charged us. They were horrified to hear she charged us 5 euro each. The sad thing is we would have given her the money anyway (which we did) but it would have been nice to have been asked to give a donation for charity.

First I sat down with my hairdresser and made it clear what I wanted and she was very attentive and offered some good advice. Then I went into the side room for a wash before getting the cut. She did a really great job too and explained everything along the way and checked that it was what I wanted. While you're getting it cut you're offered a drink too (water, tea, coffee or beer). At the end I got a second wash and a blowdry. Very happy with the overall results and the pleasant staff. And the whole thing came to just €18 with a student discount, which is very cheap for a salon service in general, never mind one that is this good. In the past, I've paid nearly twice that and not ended up as satisfied.
