The first dentist I had gone to wanted to pull 5 teeth and give me a root canal as I hadn't been to the dentist in years. Dr. McGill was able to save my teeth! I only had one pulled, and I will be getting an implant and she didn't need to do a root canal, just a filling. She likes to save teeth! (her words, not mine) She genuinely listened to me, went slow and helped me overcome my dental fear. I recommend her to everyone! Also, they do not charge extra for novicaine and laughing gas... They have headphones, TVs and comfy seats.

The individuals that work there excel in their areas of expertise, and are interested in their jobs and their patients. They are actively involved in improving, taking education and training classes, and learning leading-edge practice with new technologies to improve their patients' experience while in their care. If you see this in one or two staff members it might be due to their individual initiative, but when you see it collectively by everyone working in the practice it is due to leadership and hiring the right people to foster a learning and caring environment. Dr. Novak has created this environment in her dental practice. Dr. Novak is the most skilled, caring, and thoughtful dentist I have ever met. The arrival of Dr. Johnson has expanded the services of her practice in the areas of extractions and implants, just to name two. Stacey and Amy are exceptional dental assistants. McCala is the dental hygienist and does a very thorough and gentle cleaning with great attention to detail. Cross-training is also alive and well, as Amy is also Office Manager. Jasmine, who acts as the front office coordinator, also handles insurance claims. She handles different insurance companies with primary, secondary, and even tertiary claims with great skill, which maximizes the reimbursement to the patient and/or the practice. I have never seen this level of skill and attention to detail for insurance claims in the dental or medical fields. Jasmine is also taking classes to become a dental assistant. Dr. Novak also reinvests in her practice. She recently incorporated 3D scanning for enhanced diagnostic capabilities, and an iTero scanner for crowns, Invisalign treatment, implants, and custom occlusal guards. These technologies increase the potential for identifying problems in earlier stages of development before they become increasingly uncomfortable for the patient. Overall, they allow for more comprehensive patient treatment and improved patient comfort. Another example is that taking traditional impressions is no longer a hands-on physical activity, but is now digital. Employees are also trained on the new technologies, which also increases their capabilities and job satisfaction. All of these practices work very well together. As a patient at Novak Family Dentistry, you will receive the highest quality of care from an exceptional team using state-of-the-art equipment.

They are wonderful at their profession (sister/brother took over after dad retired) and will always give you options. They never over charge or do work that is not necessary. I had to wait in the chair for a very long time after the cleaning to speak with the doctor (so long I had to make calls to cancel things and make alternate arrangements for my kids). When the dentist finally came in, she started a conversation about the high costs of running a dental practice?!? (We had only met one time before this). She then seemed shocked when she presented her very elaborate plan to me and I responded with "yes, lets please start with the most urgent and space treatment out because cost is a very serious concern and barrier". she then sent her hygienist in to ask me if I wanted veneers!!!!!! months later, a $500 bill arrived..... that did not at all match any of the estimates and promises I had been given for a simple cleaning and xrays. now that I am here looking through other reviews, I see that this is something other patients have experienced as well. truly unfortunate since it is a nice office with a great premise.

I was looking for a new dentist and found out about this place through my insurance. I called as a…read morenew patient and they gave me an appointment pretty soon. The staff was friendly and kind. The ambience of the place was very good. I was able to watch TV while having my cleaning done. I was asked by the dental assistant what I wanted to watch while getting my treatment done which I felt good about. They took my xrays, told me about the cavities I was having and gave me options to improve my smile. Dr explained every treatment and showed me pictures of my problem areas with the intra oral camera. Prices were very accessible for the treatments not covered by my insurance.
