So, our whole family goes to McGaughey regularly for health maintenance. The office is very peaceful and the staff is friendly and caring, feels like a home away from home. Today my daughter and I had some special issues with our new running regime, mine was pain in my knee. Dr.McGaughey listened to us, checked on the issues and gave us some tools(stretches And exercises) to use improve our condition and run without pain. Dr. McGaughey is fantastic! He is friendly, caring, easy to trust, dependable, and goes beyond just being a great chiropractor. He will evaluate your adrenal system (stress) and even gut related issues. His goal is for you to be healthy and feel your best. He isn't pushy on these extra things, but will ask if you want help. I initially went in with a tight, sore neck due to stress and now see him regularly every 2 months for an adjustment. Best decision I've made since turning 30. Over the years I have been to many Chiropractors, over the last two years I have been going to Dr. McGaughey and been 100% happy. Having been in a roll over car accident other issues including fused vertebrae I have issues regularly. Dr. McGaughey takes care of it and does that quickly. Some like to play the multiple visit game but I have never found Dr. McGaughey to do that when it was not actually necessary. Recently I had ear infection that left me dizzy, the Dr. helped me with the vertigo when an E.N.T. was unable. Also I have been getting laser treatment for my Planer Fascitius ( not sure if that is spelled right) but it is much better. Dr. McGaughey is a very nice man and I am sure he has helped many and will help many more. His information was interesting. The bummer was 2 fold. One, I had to pay out of pocket even though the colleague who recommended him to me uses our insurance with him. My daughter was ill and I couldn't get answers. I tried everything. Dr. M. told me he was sure it was nothing too big, a horse, not a zebra he said. Well, she tried his supplements and did his testing, but then I got her into Children's Hospital in Madera. There she was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. I was hoping that Dr. M would have some ideas on how to treat her as my research was showing some similarities in treatments with what he provides. I emailed, mentioning that it would be really great if he took my insurance as he does for my colleague, and explained what my daughter has and how I thought he could help her but that with all the money I had been spending on figuring out an answer, I didn't have a lot left. I never heard ONE word back from him. I was greatly disappointed. read more
