H & H Car Care Clinic

H & H Car Care Clinic

Took our car here because it needed new struts and also needed to be aligned. Took it in and had…read morethe work done, and the bill came to almost $900; fine. H & H ask said we would need new tires soon; nothing urgent, but in the near future. Our son got the car back and drove it back to college. The very same day he had a flat tire because the tire cracked and was shot. He drove the car back home and we made arrangements with a tire shop to get new tires. Since we were making the considerable investment in the new tires, I told the tire shop to please double check the alignment to make sure it was all still good, so we wouldn't ruin the new tires. Well, the tire shop put new tires on and checked the alignment and found that the left outer tie rod and right lower ball joint were bad. They said there is no way that an alignment was done because it is impossible to align a car with these issues, because the alignment would not stay. We paid $250 for an alignment that didn't happen. And if I hadn't been extra cautious to tell the tire shop to just double check that the alignment was still good, we not only would have wasted the $250 on an alignment that basically didn't happen, but we would also have quickly destroyed our new $600 tires. Also, a reputable mechanic shop should be able to see when tires are failing to the point of cracking. Our son could have been injured or killed had this tire failed on an interstate at a high speed. Never again will we go to H & H.

My car was really acting up so I took it in since I had to travel the next day. They test drove it…read moretwice and told me nothing was wrong with it. The only good part is they didn't charge me anything since they didn't find out anything. When I was leaving their parking lot it was jumping all over still. I went out of town the next day. When I got back to town my normal mechanic was able to look at it. He told me I'm lucky it didn't break down on me cause my timing chain is jumping. Be only drive it around the block where Johnson's drove over 7 miles. Not very happy since Johnson's told me it would be safe to drive out of town. NEVER again will I go there. I will stick with McFarland repair!

The truck is running so we give them a one star but as far as everything else I give them a Zero…read morepoints. If you want your vehicle done with-out frustration, being lied too, get hung up on when asking hard questions why it's not fixed this may not be the place for you. I had to call them to find out the progress of the truck, never did they called us, to inform us the progress being made! As my sons truck was in the shop for approximate 7,5 weeks! With excuse after excuse why it was not done when promised. We live in the twin-cities but this was my home town, I thought I could trust this shop?!! Was told it was being worked on, but when family checked on the truck, it was always just sitting outside when they drove by. Was told do you know how many hours we worked on this truck? I told them I know how many hours you worked on this truck and then got hung up on the phone. When first speaking to this women, she said no problem can get it done in approximate 2 weeks, this long 2 weeks went on and on.. with lie after lie told to me about the need to order parts etc... that my husband is in the field as we farm and it's harvest time! I said, that should of been disclosed to me that your farming is MORE important than this business. I asked her, if they stopped working on ALL vehicles during this farming time? No response but got hung up on! We were told a firm price, we ALL heard them say the price! Then 2 weeks later another quote given to me, she said it would be this price. Then a few days before we picked up the truck, she said it would be ready yet another quote!! I said to this women NOW this is the bottom firm price, she said again yes!! Then the day of payment it was different price again approximate another $400 added on,she said yes this is the price! Funny part of this whole situation is they did not fix everything on the 1st quote, even less parts fixed than agreed upon! Yet charged approximate $850.00 more than promised on the 1st quote! Then told by owner that if you do not pay this bill, you will NOT get this truck, we will keep it and sale it ourselves!! I tried to talk reason with him and he was just as horrible as the women that answered the phone. We never experienced such frustration with dealing with a business before!! We could never make plans for ourselves anything during this time, including my work schedule, money lost on our part due to waiting for this truck to be fixed!! Needless to say I'll never do business in my home town with someone this careless, non caring about our situation, being lied too over and over again and being threatened they'd take our truck! That they'd sale it and nothing you can do about it! Pay up or not he said.. called me nasty person and said what is it going to be? Their customer service skills are VERY inappropriate and unbelievable!!
