Mojo Heating & Cooling

I have used MoJo extensively at my own house and recommended them to many clients in my role as a…read morerealtor who have all been very pleased - they are responsive, reasonable, and won't upsell you on things you don't need.

This company is moving, but we had already paid for a summer AC service. I called several times and…read moredidn't get a call back. Once I called and it was a recording that the mailbox was full. Not a good sign. Then one day a MOJO guy called and said he could come that day. He came and supposedly serviced the AC and said, "The refrigerant levels are good. Everything looks really good." I knew that meant that he'd not checked it because for the last two summers they've been a bit low but we've been limping along with it. That was on May 3. In the past few days the AC has not been cooling the house. We called a different company, they came out and checked and the coolant levels were very low. The new guy said that the MOJO guy had probably been just BS-ing us because he wanted to get it done and get out of here. The MOJO guy also didn't bring a filter to give us a new filter for this "service." So, no filter change, and no checking the coolant on the AC. Did he even spray out the fins? Who knows. When the MOJO guy came last fall for the heater service (a different tech) I was asking more detailed questions about the performance and he was kind of dodging it and then confessed that he'd not brought the tool to test it. So basically, these guys string you along with these "service" contracts until you need to spend $5k on a new AC, without really caring about the service.
