Their insensitivity is unequalled. They had a Patient Relations rep Sara H from Ames contact me several times, saying I would NEVER be able to speak with my husband's provider! His blood work was high in 4 areas on his last visit. They were flagged in MyChart. Also, his medical records indicate his previous provider suggested a cardiologist if his BP remained high. YOU MUST BE YOUR OWN ADVOCATE--especially at McFarland Clinic of Marshalltown. The ARNP continued to prescribe the highest doses of cholesterol & BP meds & not dig a little deeper. My family continues to be devastated over this sudden loss. read more

I have seen Ann Jones for half my life. She retired recently and I was made to see another physician. I saw Dr. Kurra. She told me there was nothing she could do for me and I didn't look dehydrated. She stated I could walk myself over to the ER. I could barely walk. Got to the ER and I was severely dehydrated and had several severe infections which Mcfarland could have treated. So no they are incorI called the Ames office and complained. I asked for my money back on the office visit due to improper care and mistreatment. Guess what. See photo. I went through a horrible tornado with them and they were very kind offered food and water. My daughters doctor sat with us and gave comfort. My mind has been changed forever by this date.
