I had a bone graft surgery in preparations for Implants yesterday. He is so highly skilled there was very little swelling which results in negligible pain or bruising . I would rate Dr McFadden at 5 stars, however his after hours, call staff did not handle my call appropriately and would not let me speak with Dr McFadden or contact him themselves. As a result, I had a gum infection that went untreated over a weekend. I believe that this contributed to the lingering gum discomfort I've had with that implant. Now that implant has loosened, and while I would normally ret to the Dr who placed it, but bc of his on-call staff, I'll be going elsewhere. read more

I'm submitting this review so people won't be surprised at what they find out. I traveled out of town for a free consultation with this dentist. My general conclusion is that this dentist is a super choice if cost is not a major concern. Otherwise you should probably consider a place like Texas A & M College of Dentistry or Affordable Dentures. Not all Affordable Dentures locations offer dental implants, so you will need to inquire at a specific office. This dentist prides himself on offering better quality than other dentists. His YouTube sites are vague about what he actually charges. I got some very specific numbers at my consultation, so you can take this as a guide as to what you might find out regarding your costs. Unlike many of his patients, I wasn't looking for all on 4 or an implant bridge. I was looking for multiple implants at scattered locations. On that basis I got the following numbers: The implant itself for a given tooth: $2725. The abutment for the implant: $1150. The crown for the implant: $1950. Total = $5825. The charge for each extraction: $275. Those who need or opt for either an implant bridge or all on 4 would have a considerably lower per tooth cost. In my case that would mean extracting teeth I want to keep. During the past, I have kept teeth that most every dentist wanted to extract, often for quite a few years. The reason is because extracting teeth forces me to face the issue of replacing the tooth. If the tooth is causing pain or turning sideways and close to falling out anyway, that's a different situation. read more

I heard about Dr. McFadden from another of his patients. At 80 years of age, I was losing most of my teeth, even the remaining few that still looked OK. I did not know what to expect from this new dentist. He poked around in my mouth for a couple of minutes, counting the known casualties and took some x-rays of the few teeth that were still standing. We talked a bit about what I thought I needed, and what I was expecting. In a few minutes he came back with a hand-written quote for the immediate extractions of the broken teeth and a plan for using the sound teeth for anchoring a new partial upper plate. He also gave me a quote for a future modification if the remaining teeth become not serviceable. I agreed and we settled on an appointment for the extractions, (there were eight). He then took impressions of my mouth for construction of the partial. My second visit was set up for one and a half hours. He hit it exactly. In that period, he had extracted eight teeth, and sewed up several gaps, and installed a perfectly fitted partial; I could not believe it! This dentist is incredible, as is his whole staff. I have had the WORST of the worst dental experiences all my life and coming to Dr. McFadden and his staff has been the turn around I needed. I felt the need to let everyone living in or near Dallas TX know about Dr. David McFadden! I would give anything to live close enough to have him as my dentist. Long story short I was being treated less than acceptable by my own personal dentist in another state. I had enough of being treated badly and spent hours and hours doing research on-line. From start to finish Dr. McFadden and everyone at the Dental Implant Center were amazing. Dr. McFadden is a board certified specialist and that was important to me. I wanted to be able to everything done in one office by a doctor who's primary focus was implant related. I never felt any pain from my tooth bring taken out or the implant. Felt nothing! He also was able to make a temporary fake tooth that was glued in my mouth that wouldn't have been an option at another office. I also love how available to his patients he is. Dr Mcfadden and his staff are excellent. Dr.Mcfadden took the time to listen to what I wanted. He asked me if I could have my wish, what would it be. I've always hated my narrow palate and tiny teeth. Also, most of my molars had issues and needed lots dental work. It seemed that every year I was spending thousands on dental work each year and the problems never fully resolved. He jokingly said, let's just take out all your teeth and give you new ones. I didn't hesitate for one minute and said, "YES, lets do it. Im 44 and didn't want denture implants so he replaced each tooth with implants and placed them in a way that it widened my palate. Our daughter, had an accident when she was eight which caused severe trauma to her mouth. After two rounds of braces, a root canal, and internal bleachings on her tooth, it was time to seek a Prothsodontist to do a permanent fix.
