She was the only staff member that we encountered that was compassionate. It just went downhill from there. We were then introduced to Caitlyn, who lacked any customer service skills. When we asked to go into the room, she was hesitant to let us in. This all happened well after the start time, so we were not inconveniencing them. At the end of the night, we lost track of time & she came barging into the room. She announced that it was past 8pm & yelled at us to leave. I was actually embarrassed for her. There's a way to politely ask guests to leave, this was handled very poorly. Our family also purchased light snacks for our guests. That included a tray of cookies & unripened fruit. The cost for the low quality "snacks" they provided was outrageous. We were told that we could not bring outside food as their insurance did not cover it. But low & behold, another party arrived with outside food & were allowed to bring it in. Thankfully our second night for visitation went a lot better. Different staff were on this night & were very kind. In all, our experience at Jerrett was unfavourable. Despite our grieving, we could not look past the disrespectful encounters with certain staff. They could definitely use some more training.

She helped organize a private family viewing, dressing of the deceased, all the details of the funeral on the day of, and the coordination of the ashes pick-up the day after. It's a tough circumstance for everyone so the last thing you need is any extra grief. The rooms were perfect for the gatherings we had. Tables for food and flowers and a digital screen for sharing old photographs that make you both smile and cry, sometimes at the same time. This is an intimate, warm space. They even let us into the kitchen, for private conversations. I'll never forget it. I recommend this place for non denominational services. I wish peace to anyone reading this.

All she wanted was when she passed to be cremated. No Service, No Visitation, NO UPGRADES on the urn. She paid close to $2000.00 for this in 1993. As it stands we now have a $795 + HST bill for cremation. A $130.00 bill for Coroner Cremation Certificate Fee & Death Registration Fee. Her wishes were in no way fulfilled. I DO NOT Recommend as it turns out it was a very expensive car ride from the hospital to the crematorium.

They would also travel all the way to the cemetery and help us complete the entire closing process.
